Mosley, Selleck & ManettiLas Vegas "MPI Reunion" episode set to air October 26th
10/3/2007 - Tom Selleck will be joined by former Magnum P.I. cast members Larry Manetti and Roger E. Mosley in the Las Vegas Halloween episode "When Life Gives You Lemon Bars", which will air on NBC on 10/26. Rumor has it that both will be back for more episodes.

9/12/2007 - National cable channel Superstation WGN has inexplicably dropped Magnum P.I. from its program schedule after several successful years of syndication. This leaves the Sleuth Channel as the only national cable channel that is currently airing Magnum P.I..

8/15/2007 - Larry Manetti and Roger E. Mosley will reunite with Tom Selleck for several episodes in the upcoming season of the hit TV show Las Vegas. This will be the first time the three actors have performed together since Magnum P.I. ended in 1988. Read the full story here.

7/22/2007 - The Magnum P.I. - Complete Seventh Season DVD will be released October 30th in Region 1. The set will feature all 22 syndicated episodes from Season Seven, including the 1986 Murder, She Wrote crossover episode "Magnum on Ice". Additionally, "Inside the Ultimate Crime Crossover" (w/ Angela Landsbury interview) & "America's Top Sleuths" will be included as bonus material. The 5 single-sided DVDs have a SRP of $49.98.

7/15/2007 - MM is proud to announce that we have write ups for all three of the known unfilmed Magnum screenplays, "Forbidden Island" (1982), "Gypsy's Curse" (1983) & "Cheapshot" (1984). The excellent synopsis' were written by MM forum members Doc Ibold, golfmobile & SelleckLover.

5/12/2007 - It's official, Tom Selleck is returning to prime time TV and will join the cast of NBC's hit drama Las Vegas for its 5th season! Selleck will play the new owner of the Montecito Resort & Casino, a "self-made billionaire with a mysterious past". He replaces the departed James Caan.

4/14/2007 - Night Passage and Death in Paradise will be released separately on June 12th in Region 1 with a SRP of $24.96 each. The DVDs feature digitally mastered audio/video, and are presented in the widescreen format. The fourth Jesse Stone movie, Sea Change, will air on CBS May 22nd.

2/25/2007 - The Complete Sixth Season has been released on Region 1. It includes all 21 syndicated episodes from Season Six and a bonus episode from Season Seven, "Little Girl Who" (7.7). The DVD case type is again the Digipak (or "hub") style, and the discs are single-sided. English subtitles only. Region 2 will be released on May 5th.

12/24/2006 - The Sleuth Channel, an American digital cable television channel, will air our beloved show multiple times daily, including a 7:00PM time slot! The channel kicks off the new addition to its lineup with a Magnum New Years Day Marathon, which will feature 12 episodes from Season One, including the Pilot Movie.

10/21/2006 - Thomas Magnum has been voted "America's Top Sleuth" by the Sleuth Channel, as selected by "thousands" of voters in their on-line poll! Columbo comes in at #2, Jim Rockford #3 ... Marge Gunderson (Fargo) #25. Be sure to catch "America's Top Sleuths", airing on the Sleuth Channel.

10/8/2006 - All 22 action-packed episodes. The set also includes a bonus episode from Season Six, "The Treasure of Kalaniopu'u" (6.9). And the best news of all...for the first time in the DVD series, the discs are single-sided! Hopefully this means that the error-prone double-sided discs will not be seen again.


Donald P. Bellisario 2005Bellisario endows $1 million to Penn State University!
10/05/2006 - MPI co-creator/exec producer/writer Donald P. Bellisario endowed a $1 million Trustee Matching Scholarship in the College of Communications at Penn State University, his alma mater. With the match, the fully endowed fund will generate $100,000 a year in scholarships. The endowment is the largest single endowed scholarship gift in Penn State history. Read the full story here.


Sgt. Roberta Hansen (Marta DuBois)Marta DuBois filming Season Two of McBride
08/12/2006 - Marta DuBois (Michelle Hue) continues her co-starring role as Sgt. Roberta Hansen on the Hallmark Channel mystery series McBride, which also stars John Larroquette. Six two-hour episodes (each episode is really a movie) were released in 2005 and six more are scheduled for 2006. The show has been well received and will likely be picked up for a third season.

04/30/2006 - While on the movie junket for his latest (TV) movie, Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise (which is fantastic by the way), Tom Selleck tells the Irish Examiner, "I won't be in it and I won't be doing some stupid cameo" (!). It doesn't look like John, Larry, or Roger will be in it either. It's official folks.


Rawson Marshall ThurberMagnum P.I. movie gets a writer/director!
01/29/2006 - According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball) has signed on to write and direct the feature film adaptation of our beloved show. Thurber states that the movie will be action oriented with humorous elements, and will encompass several decades of time (full interview here). The movie will shoot in Hawaii. Casting still unannounced.
