Notes
1 This is the fifth "Carol-centric" episode of the series, following "No More Mr. Nice Guy" (4.13), "Blind Justice" (5.7), "Compulsion" (5.14), and "The Man From Marseilles" (5.20).

2 Co-scriptwriter Joe Gores is a popular, award-winning mystery/detective novelist and short story author. He's one of only two authors to receive Edgar Awards in three separate categories: Best First Novel, Best Short Story and Best TV Series Segment.

3 Co-story developer Anthony Pellicano was once known in the mass media as the "P.I. to the Stars" due to his work for many prominent Hollywood celebrities. He was also known to have extensive mafia connections! Starting in 2003, he served a 30 month prison sentence for illegal possession of explosives. In Feb. 2006, he was indicted on 110 counts of racketeering, conspiracy, wiretapping, witness tampering, identity theft and destruction of evidence!

4 Jack Damon is Carol's uncle and Becky Damon is her cousin. Jack and Becky are from Omaha, Nebraska. If you look closely at the end of the episode, you can see Becky's gunshot wound (that she received in the opening scene) just below her right shoulder.

5 Icepick only buys American products.

6 Magnum's prison number is #73762.

7 The "Oahu Prison Farm" scenes were filmed at a former communications building (and transmitter facility) at Bellows Air Force Station. (Noted by rubber chicken)

8 The "Never On Sunday" lingerie store scene was filmed at an empty store on the corner of S. Pauanhi and Nuuanu Ave in Honolulu. The empty store was completely "dressed", filmed and removed in a three-day span. (Noted by Magnum P.I. set director Rick Romer)
Quotes
1
Magnum: This morning? Listen, look, I can barely walk. I gotta go back to bed right after I eat.
Higgins: He wakes regularly for long feedings.
Magnum: Oh, that's cute Higgins. I am sore!
Higgins: Which is hardly a sufficient excuse for rudeness.

2
Magnum: Runaway teenagers are the private investigator's nightmare. They're shrewd enough to stay lost, scared enough to want to be found, and young enough not to leave much enough history to research. (Narration)

3
Magnum: I think I got it in the right perspective. It's just a farm. I'm going to do a little manual labor and watch a lot of TV.
Higgins: Well, at least you have experience in one of the two.
Flubs
1 When Magnum visits the "Anagrams" office a clear shot of a gorilla suit with a rubber chicken in its mouth can be seen directly behind him. After a quick cutaway and back to Magnum, the gorilla suit suddenly has no rubber chicken in its mouth! After a second cutaway the rubber chicken has returned and remains there for the rest of the scene. This may be some kind of inside joke as one of Magnum's favorite personal items is his rubber chicken (although this rubber chicken is obviously not his).
