Re: Season 1 Episode 3: The Woman Who Never Died (1.3)
Thanks again for the sneak peek there RG!
It appears they are coming out of the Bishop Museum in the first scene.
We might have a pattern starting where Magnum says to Higgins that he has to make a stop and then Higgins gets pulled into one of his cases. (I think we might need another set of smilies for these two) It will be interesting to see if this continues in future episodes.

Thanks Karolis!
At this rate if we get a few more sneak peeks we won't have to watch the show on Monday.

4 minutes into Episode 3.
Think that’s it for me folks.
I’m done.
This show is awful.
Luther H. Gillis? Nope.
I just feel it’s a slam and an insult now.
And Jay is a horrible actor.

Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.
Re: Season 1 Episode 3: The Woman Who Never Died (1.3)
JUST. FUCKING. AWFUL.
I assume we all caught the Pahonu reference. But the estate seems to be missing a sea wall to keep the turtles in....I suppose Lenkov sees it as a tribute. One of his many, many misjudgements.
The "betrayal" conversation with Rick was torturous.
And I'd forgotten how horrible watching TV with commercials is.
I said I'd give it four episodes. It's going to be tough to keep my word.

Re: Season 1 Episode 3: The Woman Who Never Died (1.3)
Can someone please explain to me where this new Robin's Nest really is? It's really confusing. I thought it was 51 Kaikea Place in Kailua: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EsIjc7JEkc
But all that vast estate space in the rear where they're playing golf looks nothing like anything in that video. Furthermore as you look out at the ocean you can see Chinaman's Hat island in the distance (in the show), something you wouldn't see from your backyard in Kailua. This whole scene looks like it's filmed somewhere out in Kaneohe, or somewhere closer to Kualoa Ranch. If they only use the above Kailua address for the front gate scenes then even that doesn't quite make sense. In the previous episode with Carl Weathers as you look through the front gate away from the estate (towards the mountains) there should be a bunch of other houses on that street but there's nothing there except vegetation and a long curving road (which Magnum uses to drive up to the gate). I drove up to this gate when I was there so I know for a fact there are other houses there. So now I'm really confused about where this is filmed. The gate looks accurate though.

There have been a couple of scenes down at the shoreline now, and to me, both the mountains across the water (would be on the left as you're looking from the estate toward Chinaman's Hat) and the estate looking back from the shore look CGI'd.

Wow! If this really is the case then that's just plain idiotic! Who the heck wants to look at CGI'd scenery in beautiful Hawaii?????????!! The old Robin's Nest/Anderson Estate was an actual place that you could pinpoint and visit. You could touch it and feel it. Because it's there. This new place seems to be some weird composite that we don't even know actually exists. What's real and what's fake? It's a fairy tale place. We're in Lord of the Rings territory here. I HATE IT!!ENSHealy wrote:There have been a couple of scenes down at the shoreline now, and to me, both the mountains across the water (would be on the left as you're looking from the estate toward Chinaman's Hat) and the estate looking back from the shore look CGI'd.
