#1 Post by eagle »

Could anyone tell what kind of watch Jay Hernandez was wearing as Magnum?

According to Lenov (sp?) on his Instagram it was a later model Rolex GMT from Lenov's wrist :) I'd say it was a mid 2000's version that has the solid end link, aluminum bezel insert (current GMT's have ceramic) and SuperLuminova for seeing the indices at night.

EDIT: In the trailer though I didn't see much of the "Pepsi" bezel. It looked more like a stunt double to me. Which did happen in the original series too, but I think it was more the close-up they used with a hand double, vs doing stunt work :)

EDIT to the edit: went back to check it out and it does look like the Pepsi bezel is visible. Good to see it used in the action sequences :)

I'll have to go watch again. I was looking for the Pepsi bezel but did notice it.

Found a few stills displaying the new GMT, as well as a few shots of TS wearing his GMT Master. :magnum:

I believe the new watch (Lenkov's) actually has a coke (black/red) bezel. I remember seeing it on his instagram feed.

Yes, looks like Coke GMT - upped the saturation and the red is clear but the other half seems black, not blue

Classic Pepsi GMT (red/blue) bezel insert. JH has been seen wearing a newer model, nicknamed "batman" due to the black/blue bezel which is a scratch-proof ceramic material. I'm wondering if the watch will be updated to this newer style and the Pepsi vintage model was just used for the pilot.
