New information..... I believe this will be the new Robin's Nest. The MPI "base camp" was nearby. Of course not confirmed, it could just be a filming location, but take a look...
Well I just discovered this... Lenkov (or a scout) was definitely here on March 2nd. Here is his pic on Instagram... this is the driveway as he is leaving. Notice the tall pines I'm pointing to...
And this is a screen cap from the realtor video as you approach the house/"estate". The driveway goes off to the left and I've pointed out those same pines...
I literally just posted the pics above about the pine trees, and then I checked Lenkov's Instagram... it's confirmed. Robin's Nest is definitely 51 Kaikea
Too bad Pahonu won't be Robin's Nest, but maybe the old girl will make a "cameo" in a future episode (assuming there will be future episodes).
I'm sure Lenkov will try hard for that, but it's up to the Nesbitts on that one.
I'm thinking of it as a retirement for Pahonu and not a death. It will have another chapter, but not with us looking in.
It definitely won't be the same feel as the old Robin's Nest that's for sure.
I guess we will just have to accept it - like it or not -oh well!
I would love to know what the neighbours of the new Robin's Nest are thinking as it's going to get busy there and privacy will be lost.
I'm kind of glad too, because I was a little torn about them using/possibly changing the old gal, plus the feeling that she belongs to the original MPI, not the reboot... but I SO wanted to see Pahonu again!
Good idea with the new thread RG......here is some of my comment from the general thread that we have going.
Even at $26 million it doesn't do it for me as the new nest....don't get me wrong, it's a nice property, but it's just not the same as our beloved Pahonu. I wonder if Eve told Marty he is nuts to even think about having MPI in again and he agreed or Lenkov had a walk around Pahonu and decided he wanted a new fresh identity for Robin's Nest, just like bringing in the 488 Ferrari. This property is just 2.5 acres so a bit smaller than Pahonu.....hmmm, I wonder if this estate will be on 200 acres and located somewhere on the North Shore like the original.
I just found another video of this estate - Hale Makai

Also my sentiment.
The new place looks great! Is the guest house ground level?
Unfortunately the whole place including the guest house appears to be ground level, but you never know with the magic of tv.....they might have a different layout on set/studio than on location.
I was doing an aerial search on Google Earth on Hale Makai (aka Robin's Nest 2.0) and the owner, 51 Kaikea LLC owns the two lots just in front of the gates and rock wall at 51 Kaikea Place. This would make it a perfect spot for the film trucks to park their vehicles and still be close to the filming location while not annoying the neighbors too much.. There is a caretaker's house on one side that might be handy too. When they were filming at Pahonu they would park many of the trucks next door at the Shriner's property. I'm sure the owner is more than happy to receive a cheque while getting world wide exposure on their listed house! I would love to know how this deal was structured with the place being up for sale. What happens if it does sell and the show gets picked up? What happens if the new owner isn't interested in having this disruption to everyday life? They must have some type of clause in there allowing filming to take place on a short term basis or the right to film for a year or two after it's sold etc..
Granted they are asking a hell of a lot of money for a place surrounded by homes worth a fraction of this one so the sale could take some time, but you never know....they better have some type of "insurance policy" in place. I would like to know who is the owner behind 51 Kaikea LLC., supposedly a person named Keiichi Kojima is the manager for the property. Maybe Lenkov & Co. personally know the owners and they've come to some sort of agreement going forward.

Great info, Kenji! Can I please have Keiichi Kojima's job? Anyway, here's a little more info...
It sold in 2008 for $22 million ALL CASH to an international investor...
Seven years later it was put on the market for $32 million, and has been on & off the market ever since, gradually reduced to the present list price of $26 million...
Here is an article when it was listed at $28 million...it mentions the two lots out front, the architect, the vendor is motivated to sell and it talks about Japan....we know the vendor is international.....maybe they are from Japan.
This similar article mentions the owner spent $7 million to fix it up and build the caretaker's place..........also they spent $4 million to buy the two adjacent lots out front. So based on those numbers ( $22million + $7million+ $4million =$33 million plus tax), they should lose money on this investment.
