Sorry, Sam, no longer in Waikiki. We're over near Kailua, a little closer to Kailua than Waimanalo, in our own private Robin's Nest, just not on the beach. We're in an apartment on the far right end of the house shown below. We can sit at the table under the huge monkey pod tree with the computer and post messages. This place is beautifully (Higgins would approve) landscaped and it is such a pleasure to sit outside.
This is our outside "dining room." That's Larry, if you can see him in the Hawaiian shirt, grilling our New York strips.
Off to find snorkel equipment so we can go snorkeling this morning and play golf this afternoon. I can't wait to get out on a golf course.
Yesterday (Wed.) we found our "estate" and settled in, then went exploring from here down to Hamauna Bay. It's about 15 miles away from where we are. Hope we can find somewhere closer to go snorkeling! On the way there, we stopped at Kailua Beach Park:
Waimanalo Beach Park:
(that's looking toward RN)
But I couldn't get Larry to stop so we could get around to the tidal pool.
He said we didn't need to do everything the first day.
And I tried to get him to stop so I could get a picture of the lighthouse where "Legs" was thrown over, but he wouldn't stop so this was all I could get from the moving car:
Hope to get a better picture later.
Gotta turn the laptop over to him so he can do his stuff now . . . .
