Higgins is wanting to take the Ferrari somewhere and Magnum opposes and tells Higgins that it takes a strong hand to drive the Ferrari...or something like that. Anyway, I think Higgins has an accident in the car.

Anyone????

Oh man, I just saw that one recently. That's the one where Magnum visits him in the hospital and is holding flowers handed to him by a nurse. Higgins thinks Thomas brought them for him, the usual ensues . . . right?

Thanks guys. I can't wait to see this episode again. It only comes on one channel where I live, so it will probably be awhile before it comes on again....but I have made note of the episode.

Keep an eye out for the "runaway wheelchair" scene! :)

It was those kinds of episodes that really made MPI stand out from it's competition. I really think they got away from those episodes from season 5 and on.

I agree Coops. Not saying 5-8 are terrible, but I think seasons 1-4 are superb! 7-8 are the weakest seasons in my opinion, but a weak Magnum is still better than almost anything out there.

Hell, a weak MPI blows away a 'strong' CSI:Miami.

I don't about you guys but everytime Horatio's smug mug comes on I just want to beat the **** out of it. Talk about the 180 degree opposite of TM!

I'm trying to watch them in order, but I haven't gotten through with seaon 3 completely yet. (I know, what have I been doing with my time?)

Anyway, since my wife's gotten into him, I have been trying to go straight through and enjoy the "Magnum-verse" in order. The Hungarian acrobats, the first "you're Robin Masters", the evolution of TM, the whole thing, in context.

I'm hoping I don't see a big drop-off as it goes on.

I'm doing the same thing Conch. Right now I'm on season 6 and I don't see the quality that was there during the first 4 seasons. Some really bad ones here.

My husband and I have been going through the seasons in order. 1 through 4 are stronger than 5 through 7 (as far as we have gotten).

It seems to be easier to get distracted in the later seasons. I found it helps to read the posting on the episode on Magnum-Mania before viewing the episode. Even if it doesn't look like a great episode, knowing all the strange little bits makes it better. :)

If MPI isn't better than what's on TV now, we wouldn't be watching, right??

I'm going through my 4th go-round of viewing them in order, and am midway through Season 4. "Red Faced Thespian" is next.

Season 4 is the apex for me. Season 5 is so-so, and I generally have to DRAG myself through Season 6. Season 7 gets MUCH better and 8 is pretty good too.

My faves are seasons 2,3,4...

I have to agree that seasons 5-7 lose a lot of the magic that the first 4 seasons have.

However, I did really enjoy these episodes.

Season 5

NONE

Season 6

Summer School....really enjoyed it.
Who is Don Luis Higgins...really enjoyed it.
The Kona Winds.....somewhat enjoyed it.

Season 7

Novel Connection....great episode, but strange how the killer was so
well known :?

Little Girl Who...pretty good.

Death and Taxes....absolutely fabulous episode.."You can't win
Magnum." :P

Kapu....pretty good.

Death of the flowers....really good.

Paper War......good except all the Higgins is Robin Masters talk.
