rare photo's

What's the "RN" logo gate he's pictured in front of in the Ferrari? Not the Anderson Estate gate. Is this one that has been used somewhere else? I don't recall it.
Hi Golf,
The "RN" is really "RM" for Robin Masters and it was used at the estate for filming. James has a better shot with Rick shooting a machine gun on his site that shows the gate emblem and even the "waves" on top of the gate.
I guess after the show ended Mrs. Anderson replaced it with a lower more simple version which included the turtle/honu as the emblem. I think she wanted to do away with anything related to Magnum especially at the front gate!

Thanks for posting these photos, it really brings back memories of the early 80s with the long hair styles. I also never realized the massive equipment used on the set just to shoot a short segment.

Love all these photos Erock. I've been wondering for years where you got them.

He wore those in the early episodes and I always wondered if they are some kind of Navy issue jeans. If they ever got around to a Magnum movie with that Thurber dude writing the script, he would probably have him in mommy jeans!!!!!ConchRepublican wrote:Is it me, or did Tom always wear the highest waisted jeans in the world?

Re: rare photo's
Hillerman's got a smoke in his hand. Didn't know he smoked! Speaking as an ex-smoker, I can't help but wonder what brand he preferred?
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!
Re: rare photo's
Hillerman being from Texas I'm thinking he is a Marlboro man. He probably even started off with some manley non-filtered brand like Lucky Strikes or Camels or the ultimate brand for his renaissance man british miltary background character: Chesterfields.............J.J.
