Thanks again Mike for the heads-up on the jacket.

For those of you who are waiting on your orders,I think you'll be happy with your purchase. My only criticism is the depth of the side pockets.I don't carry a wallet, instead I carry a 2.5 by 4 inch folded business card holder which goes in the side pocket along with my phone and maybe a checkbook.

As you can see in the below photo, there is only about an inch and a half from the bottom of the slit (green dot) to the bottom of the pocket (blue dots). Not enough room to comfortably place my stuff. It does have a pocket on the left inside that will hold my stuff,so I just need to retrain myself...Otherwise..great jacket

Happy you got the jacket and like it. As for the pockets, you do know there are two on each side, right? I've decided not to unbutton the flapped pockets because I don't want to distort the button holes, but I'd think they would be more secure for things like your card case. Also if you're at all like me, you'll take an exacto knife to those "Made In China" labels ASAP. :)

Thrilled you like it. Exeryone who has reported back seems to feel the same way.
Enjoy!

Jacket is now finally on it's way to me... after a ridiculously large shipping fee of US$78. They claim it's 6kg! Going by total weight, or a cubed parcel - either way I seriously doubt it!!

Oh well, still will be happy to get it in time for Christmas next week. :)

Been so busy, completely forgot my jacket arrived earlier this week and has been in the boot of my car for 3 days!

Just tried it on and it fits beautifully. In theory, could perhaps have gone one size down, but I specifically got it larger to be on the safe side, plus I plan on wearing it on very cold night to games etc so extra layers underneath pads it out as well. Plus for the first time in a long while, I've got a jacket that has extra room around the arms/shoulders so it doesn't pull when I reach for something and great length so I'm not forever pulling it back down to my waist. Next size down may have sacrificed some of this comfort.

Not to mention, it's amazingly warm! So perfect for cold nights out. Very happy with it, plus the origin which all of us here know about.

Googled exacto knife but I still don't understand this. Why should he cut off the labels?

We have heard that products are instantly no longer "Made In China" at the moment the "Made In China" labels are cut off. But I think more and more it probably is one of those things that fall under "urban myth".

Say what? Now I'm even more confused. How could something not be made in a place if the label is cut off? Why is "made in China" something people don't want?

Yeah it's obviously going over my head. Must be an American thing. Care to explain it?

Sorry for not replying sooner. This jacket is a replica of a U.S. military uniform, (Or at least part of one) and threfore would never be made in China.

Thanks. That makes sense I guess. Is it a legal requirement that all US military stuff is American made?
