hi magnum fans, hope your sweet 16 went well, despite the hiccup. sorry, i didn't read all 100+ posts but it looks like b-ball tried to wiz on your parade - idiots.
well, i've been reading the forums for a few years now, finally decided to register, i suppose since the talk of the cozi tv marathon got me thinking about the show. i don't own the series on dvd, just too lazy to buy it i guess, and i was afraid i might burn out from over-viewing, i did this somewhat with casablanca. i have a radio view of tv, i watch it every time it's on.
ok, what am i mumblin' about, as fans i know there's not much you guys don't know about mpi but if you would, share in my excitement for a moment. well, along with the talk here of ctv and the marathon, i also noticed encore classic listing mpi reruns in the directv guide, but i dont subscribe to any of the pay networks. i began to think about the show again - and then i saw the commercial of an mpi marathon on esquire - woohoo, this i do get! i looked forward to it like a new movie coming out, really, i did. on the west coast it started at 4am on a thursday, believe it or not i had nothing to do so i set my alarm for 3:30am, and with the excitement of christmas morning i got up, splashed water on my face, made coffee and waited to reconnect with what had felt like old friends - cheezy as it sounds this is how i felt. the helicopter, the guitar, the water, the ferrari - those too short shorts. i was really stoked, about the show, not so much the shorts

the first week was i believe 8 episodes - from the 2 ep pilot on thru to 'ugliest dog'. what great fun.
so far esquire has went thru the series in order from season 1 thru season 6, a few changes, 5 eps one week, 2 eps the next, 4am, 9am, but in order. this week we are back to 6 hours (and i'm glad i looked ahead) - they changed to wednesday morning. this week 'old acquaintance' to 'paniolo'.
well, i'll be around the forums asking questions here and there, definitely to whine should esquire stop before they finish the series, should this happen i will probably buy the complete series on dvd if it's worth it.
anyway, thanks for listening, sorry for bablin' but mpi is simply one of the coolest tv shows of all time, and it had been many years since i had seen it and this marathon has been very fun, a nice break from our crazy present day world and the reality show garbage that is nearly all of present day programming.
talk to you soon,
mike
oh, i'm too lazy to hit 'shift' if you didn't already notice but i try to use the comma and period appropriately
