RIP Harold Ramis

#1 Post by Danno »

Very sad to hear of the passing of Harold Ramis who directed and wrote so many fantastic films as well as playing Egon Spengler in Ghostbusters.

There's a Magnum, P.I. connection there via Annie Potts...

Indeed. Love most of his movies. Groundhog Day is one of my all-time favorite movies. He will be sorely missed.

Ned: Phil? Phil Connors? Phil Connors, I thought that was you!
Phil: Hi, thanks for watching.
Ned: Hey now, don't you tell me you don't remember me 'cause I sure as heckfire remember you.
Phil: Not a chance.
Ned: Ned... Ryerson. "Needlenose Ned"? "Ned the Head"? C'mon, buddy. Case Western High. I did the whistling belly-button trick at the high school talent show? Bing. Ned Ryerson, got the shingles real bad senior year, almost didn't graduate? Bing, again. Ned Ryerson, I dated your sister Mary Pat a couple of times until you told me not to anymore? Well?
Phil: Ned Ryerson?
Ned: BING!
Phil: Bing. So did you turn pro with that whole belly-button thing Ned or...
Ned: No, I sell insurance.
Phil: What a shock.
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!

Love his work! I'm even a fan of the not-so-well known Club Paradise. Such a great cast. He'll be missed by me.
