Guest Stars that never were
Who would you have liked to see make an appearance on the show, but never did? I would have loved an episode with Jimmy Buffett.

Re: Guest Stars that never were
A lot of old school Hollywood glamour for me:
1. Bette Davis (because Kim Carnes' song was so popular in the 80s and because she did a guest spot on Gunsmoke in the the 60s and it's one of the best episodes.)
2. Claudette Colbert
3. Audrey Hepburn
4. Clint Eastwood (Magnum Force, get it?)
5. Dean Martin (Frank did it, so why not? Plus, Tom bought his ranch!)
6. Sam Elliott and Katherine Ross (Why didn't this actually happen? They are all so good together in The Shadow Riders!)

Some great names on these lists... The best part is how easy it is to imagine each one fitting in!

Your post got me thinking about some of my favorite classic stars that were still around during Magnum's run on prime time:MagnumsLeftShoulder wrote:A lot of old school Hollywood glamour for me:

Re: Guest Stars that never were
Richard Dean Anderson - AKA MacGyver!!!!
Re: Guest Stars that never were
Maybe I'm missing one - but I'm surprised they never did an episode with one of the sex symbols of the time - Bo Derek, Racquel Welch etc - starring as themselves. Some sort of damsel in distress story.

Too bad there was no overlap with NYPD Blue. I would have loved to see Sipowicz and Magnum together.

Some people I'd have like to have seen on the show:
~William Shattner
~Catherine Bach
~Sparky Anderson
~Tim Reid
~Alan Alda
~Harry Morgan
~Hulk Hogan
~Gary Shandling

Re: Guest Stars that never were
I agree with Richard Dean Anderson (was suggested above). Imagine him being locked up in the whine cellar and figuring a way out
Also: Lee Majors, perhaps parking his truck on the estate and destroying some of Higging' flowers in the process However, the two (LM and TS) have met anyway in The Fall Guy in episode "License To Kill". I think there is some footage on Youtube. Come to think of it, that's "Colt meets Magnum". Hm...

I know what you're thinking. And you're right.
