Magnum location YouTube channel

I figured this channel had to be made by one of us Magnum nutters. Has anyone checked this out? It’s amazing the effort this fella has put into mapping locations of the pilot, with more episodes to come I’d imagine.

I saw this one from the Magnum Facebook page...watched both videos so far. Great job manipulating Google maps for the match-ups. Can't wait for China Doll.

So glad you guys are enjoying the channel! Starting a Magnum, P.I. YouTube channel that’s dedicated to celebrating the show has been a dream of mine for quite some time now. This week’s video pivots briefly from the filming location series and introduces a new Magnum series that I think you’ll really enjoy. The “ China Doll” filming location video will upload to YouTube on the 18th.

Thanks so much for watching,

Kelly

Thanks, Friday! I really appreciate that. I think you will like tomorrow’s video. Also, the “China Doll” video will upload next week. I’ve identified 90% of the episode and I think you’re really going to enjoy that one too.

How come the channel isn't coming up for me? It says it's unavailable. I'm late to the party here.

That's odd, I am getting an error message now too. I went to the site and subscribed only a month or so ago. It was working and had some great content. I remember thinking "this is awseome I will come back later and dive into it". I hope it returns, it looked like the start of a great thing for Magnum fans!

I was able to find it. I went to YouTube and typed "Magnum PI filming locations" and found a few of the location videos by this Magnum PI Fan user who did these. I watched the one for the pilot (part 1) but curiously part 2 is missing. He really has an eye for detail. Some of those quick random highway shots are really mind-boggling how he found them (with barely anything to go by in the surrounding area).

EDIT: Actually it looks like his link changed to this: https://www.youtube.com/@OriginalMagnumPIFan. Changed from @originalmagnum to @OriginalMagnumPIFan

Great stuff Ivan, thanks! Yes mind boggling, maybe the fan is a local and knows the place like the back of their hand. I had some fun trying to find locations for episodes of the reboot on Google Earth, and comparing them with their vicinity to known locations of the original show. Oahu is so small, and many of the places so iconic, even I was able to pinpoint individual shooting locations with little to go on.
