Re: Rest in Peace Roger E. Mosley
Rest in Peace Roger Mosley! It's very strange that a few days ago I picked up a used sony 400 disc dvd changer and put all my discs inside to re-watch the series... (Last time was four years ago already.) then I saw the sad news after coming back to the forum here. The only news site I see these day...

I couldn't think of a worse person to inhabit that land. Well, maybe there is one.

Re: Beauty Knows No Pain (1.18)
I wanted to enjoy this episode with the great ironman subplot but I just can't get over the corny character playing the guest star. It's the same reaction I get to Carol Burnet or some of those other goofballs which were somewhat popular at the time. (I suppose it's hereditary becauae nobody in my f...

Re: The Black Orchid (1.16)
It's funny that I watch a beautiful actress play a character who just wants to escape reality so that I can escape reality myself! I would love to play that game lol.

Re:
Higgins is indeed NOT Robin Masters. Why would WE be shown the interior of a private plane and Orson Wells contracted to be the voice? Robin is a separate character that they clumsily tried to create doubt about later on. Exactly. We see Robin dictating himself on the plane. The suggestion later on...

Mrs. Agatha Kimball, a blind/disabled high-society lady is blackmailed by a Frank LaRue, who claims to know something about Amy, the lady's niece. Being Magnum a friend to both of the women (and having been more than a friend to Amy) he is requested by Mrs. Kimball to give the money to the blackmai...

Re: Adelaide (1.14)
This is one of my favorites of the silly episodes. Not the best plot but Adelaide is so adorable and sweet. I much prefer her character over those overly dramatic or loudmouth guest stars. Adelaide is somewhat insecure and nervous which makes for a charming chemistry on screen. I love her and the Gh...

I seem to recall an interview where John Hillerman stated that he loved to smoke also.

Re: All Roads Lead to Floyd (1.13)
This is one of my least favorites. Cindy was one of those painful to watch characters. The only negative aspect overall in the entire series was the tendency to miscast the female guest stars in my opinion. There are a good amount of examples over the eight years. I know that was sort of the style o...

Re: Thicker than Blood (1.12)
Now we are cooking! This is one of the most memorable episodes for me. I love the interior ship scenes, the dock scenes with the union bros, the Coast Guard elements and the multiple helicopter shots. Plus we get to see Rick crammed in the 308 with his torso halfway out of the car. I'm a small guy m...

Re: Lest We Forget (1.10)
This is a superb episode. It was great to see the beach at Bellows Air Force Station appropriately used considering the context of the story. I really appreciate the Pearl Harbor tribute here as my grandfather was stationed on the USS Honolulu that fateful day. He survived and lived a good long life...

Re: Skin Deep (1.6)
This was a good solid episode. It feels like the introductions are over and we are settled in now. Well, except for the old theme song with it's jazzy riffs that I don't find appropriate. I wanted to mention that the Paradise Found company name was also a title Magnum was thinking of using in The Gr...

Re: Resolutions (2) (8.13)
It is interesting how I finally finished the watching the show 30 years after it originally aired. I suppose it was meant to be since now I am the same age as Magnum in '88. I enjoyed the heartwarming wedding scene but overall these final two episodes were sort of a hodgepodge of events. What I real...

Re: Transitions (8.11)
I feel this was an inappropriate episode to be situated immediately before the finale. I agree that they were pushing too hard with the Higgins being RM notion. After Paper Wars, I could tolerate maybe one or two subtle hints at the idea but then it should have been laid to rest. I never subscribed ...

You're the man Max ! Thank you so much. :) So, this is an Austrian rifle? It doesn't appear to be very common in the U.S., correct? I wonder why The Mag is using this particular sniper rifle? :? Yes, it is Austrian. In fact, you can just barely make out "Made in Austria" in those screen shots. It i...
