#1 Post by Magnums Little Voice »

Hey all,

Thought id say hellooooo, Am from the UK and been a Magnum fan for about the last 2 years, even thought im 29 never saw it in the 80's but im right into it now.

I have only seen up to Season 4 at the momment and have just ordered Season 5, but have an 8 month old son who takes up alot of my time (not that i mind), but try to get a couple of episodes in a week.

Just found this fantastic site, im very impressed with the knowledge of all you die hard Magnum fans.

Look forward to you all teaching me a thing or too about the show.

Welcome to the boards, MLV. This is one of the rare forums where everyone is civil and nice to one another! :D Also, James does a great job as administrator, and that's another reason this site is so awesome! As Doc Ibold says, it's sometimes absurd, but never dull.

So what are you guys trying to say? ;)

Is looking for shots that show what's behind the guesthouse/boathouse porch (or lanai) door absurd?

Is creating a replica of the Anderson Estate in Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 absurd?

Is creating the opening title sequence with dolls and action figures absurd?

Is finding Rick's two-story condo unit in Google Maps from a 10 sec. scene absurd?

Is flirting with the idea of tracking all of the subtle changes to props in Higgins' study absurd?

........ Kind of, but it sure is fun! :)
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!

Totally fun!

But rapping about a British Majordomo IS absurd, and I wouldn't have this place any other way.

Sanity is overrated, anyway!

I wouldn't have it any other way!

Case in point: I found some fabric at Wal-Mart that would perfectly match the decor in our bathroom. It had a white background with blue wispy sort of flowers on it, a kind of abstract print, if you will. I got out my trusty sewing machine and stitched a lovely tie-back decorative shower curtain. When my husband came home for work that nite, and before he went in the bathroom, I informed him of my handiwork. "Just wait until you see it!" I said excitedly. He looked at me and asked, "It doesn't have little Tom Selleck faces all over it, does it?"

MLV,

You should definitely plan a trip there. The Hawaiian Islands are truly paradise. Even if you never get to visit any Magnum filming sites, just to take in the beauty the islands have to offer is worth the trip! :D
