I found this great site that has a terrific forum thread on member's tiki bars.....lots of before and after pics, great ideas etc......
You need to put your establishment in the mix!
This site also has some terrific threads that discuss the Queen's Surf.....Sterling Mossman etc....it's worth a look.
Hey Conch/all, anyone ever heard of the Tikiyaki Orchestra? I have a couple of their CDs & they're really fun. Here's one that I have, "Aloha Baby"...it even came with a little cocktail umbrella in the spine of the jewel case. Great tiki party music! https://www.amazon.com/Aloha-Baby-Tikiy ... s=tikiyaki
By the way, has anyone been to the Mai-Kai in Florida http://maikai.com/? If so, what did you think? I've never been so just curious.

If you are a Tiki enthusiast then the Mai-Kai is NOT to be missed! Luckily, I live about ten miles from it, so I more than get my fill though I usually go to celebrate special occasions. They have a great bar with drink and appetizer specials and the atmosphere is wonderful. I generally can't stand nightclubs and bars, but the Mai-Kai is the exception.
Very cool, LG! When I started reading your comment I thought you were going to say it's a lousy tourist trap. They must have something good going to still be doing things right after all these years! Thanks for the feedback!

Hmmmmm, looking to catch some Mets spring training at Port St. Lucie in 2017 . . . Interesting . . .
I'm up for a Magnum-Mania get together at the Mai Kai if you guys and gals are. We must take advantage of the drink and appetizer specials as well as their great and ever-changing floor show. I make a point to applaud like Magnum does in "Ki'i's Don't Lie."
Stelth: Small world, indeed. I checked the distance and I actually live 13.8 miles from the Mai Kai.

Thank you Rembrant's Girl! I have Aloha Baby streaming now, it seems there will be some swinging tunes added to the Flemingo Key playlist!!!
