Nope, "Transitions" (eighth season). But I was just giving you an idea for a costume. Luther H. Gillis, St. Louis gumshoe at your service. :)

OK, this is sad, you can't tell me I am the only onedressing up as TM for Halloween? And NO I am not going trick or treating, it's a house party.

So come on fess up, or to quote the immortals: " What's the matter, chicken McFly?"

I tend to be more partial to the scary sort of Halloween costume than the novelty. I think to please my kids though (and myself, let's be honest), I'll be doing something Star Wars inspired.

Nice. Which character?
Tion Medon would be perfect for Halloween.

... but I digress...

Halloween isn't so big in Australia, but it's growing.

Anyone going a Magnum character, be sure to post some photos! :D

It's practically non-existent in Switzerland, but a group of us North American expatriates get together so the kids can do some trick-or-treating.

I'll probably pull out the long underwear, black towel and mask and go as Darth Vader. Let the light sabre battles begin!

Maybe I'll throw on my aloha shirt just to jazz it up...Darth Magnum?

It wouldn't be a costume for me . . . my friends would ask "why aren't you in costume?" since I dress like TM as much as possible in my downtime!

'stache? check
Boat shoes? check
Closet full of Hawai'ian shirts? check
Beige shorts (short, but not TOO short) check

Like Styles, I tend towards more of the scary. I was contemplating getting white robes, a heavy fake beard and a kufiya and walking around with a ticking clock underneath but my wife said it's not funny.

I said of course it's not funny it's Halloween, it supposed to scary and what's scarier than a suicide bomber?

She gave me a look and walked away . . . :?

I have the exact same day to day check list but some of my beige shorts might be considerd too short (although not quite Magnum short).
Since I have gone grey, for the past twelve years I have had to resort to becoming a character I call "The Duke"...Kinda of a Higgins/World Most Interesting Man hybrid with tuexedo pants, black suede and silk smoking jacket, silk ascot, some years an eye patch and always an unlit pipe. I think Dos Equis owes me some kind of fee!!!!

Sounds like a good look, you could get work on a cruise ship with that outfit :)

As for Magnums "short-shorts" I think those were stolen from a middle school girl's basket ball team! No man should be able to wear those, I know I can't

OK, here are the photos from Halloween, One is of the "gear" includes: replica; watch, ring, bracelet, belt (buckle arrived the next day), shirt, cap, sun glasses with cord, TM's drivers license, ROBIN 2 license plate, in car window is a King Kamehameha Club parking pass, a 45 automatic, and of course rubber chicken.

Sad to say only about half of the people got it, mostly those over 40!

YO STYLES, your posting directions worked!! Thanks :D
