Thanks, Miss Q, I'll go set it right now. With the new Jesse Stone movie coming up soon, he may be making the rounds of the various talk shows. The last time a Jesse Stone movie ran, I think he did Regis, The CBS Morning (Early?) Show, Conan and Ellen Degeneres, in addition to Craig Ferguson.

Since I'm a wild and crazy guy, and I live in the Central Time Zone, I decided to stay up and watch it. Man, was I upset when Tom was introduced and Tom Arnold walked out, even though I like Tom Arnold I didn't get that whole segment with him. Then, even when our boy finally did come out, I thought his segment was a bit akward as well, I guess we see so little of TS I just want to hear him talk more about the Ranch, his family, his thoughts on the Magnum Movie project, how John Hillerman is doing, etc.............
You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXOx9pJ903A

Just a couple of thoughts. TS looks better than he has in past appearences. The TS wit hasn't dwindled a bit. TS has a laugh that's all his own. I'd love to hear the TM giggle again. He appears to be wearig the MPI Rolex. Craig Furguson is a suprisigly good interviewer, but a second segment would have been in order. Heck, If it were my show, he'd have the whole hour. Sellecklover must have been hanging on every word during the kilt discussion

I have a print interview with TS from a magazine (the name of it escapes me at the moment), and asking questions about his personal life, family, etc. is off limits in an interview. His philosophy is that HE is in show business, not his family and with personal appearances he is just there to plug whatever project he is working on and that's it. I think he wants to hold onto as much privacy as he can, and who can blame the guy! Then, even when our boy finally did come out, I thought his segment was a bit akward as well, I guess we see so little of TS I just want to hear him talk more about the Ranch, his family, his thoughts on the Magnum Movie project, how John Hillerman is doing, etc.............

Ever notice the audience's response when Tom walks on stage? They always appear to be thrilled to see him. People love him. Looks like they even gave him a standing ovation on that show. I wish the interview was a little meatier but it was nice to see him after so long. He looked great. Something seemed different about him. Maybe he has lost weight. He looked better than ever. I love that laugh of his.
I didn't know about his Scottish background and would have loved to have been in the audience on the Jay Leno show to see him wearing that kilt.

I saw his appearance on Jay Leno (I wasn't in the audience though) and he sure did look mighty fine in his kilts! I knew about his Scottish background (his mother's maiden name was Jagger) and his father's side of the family has roots in Slovenia. Most names that end in -vich or -ic are Slavic names. (I'm sure the spelling "Selleck" originally ended in -ic and was probably changed or "Americanized" somewhere along the way.) My mother-in-law was Serbian (Yugoslavian) and when her parents came over here in the early 20th century the officials at Ellis Island shortened and respelled their name on all their immigration papers. FYI.I didn't know about his Scottish background and would have loved to have been in the audience on the Jay Leno show to see him wearing that kilt. Shocked

Excellent! You're my go-to person whenever I have a TS question!SelleckLover wrote:layne wrote:I saw his appearance on Jay Leno (I wasn't in the audience though) and he sure did look mighty fine in his kilts! Awww....I would love to see his Jay Leno kilt appearance. I want to experience his mighty-finess myself! I don't think it's on the web any where though. Not sure what year it was on but it was probably many years ago. Can't see him agreeing to wear a kilt now but you never know!
