Re: The New Robins Nest
I would bet money on that, Kenji. Here's what I found... as we know the "owner" is "51 Kaikea LLC". I did some research and "51 Kaikea LLC" changed their registered agent just recently on February 26, 2018. The prior agent was Craig Kugisaki (a Honolulu attorney) and it was changed to Hisao S. Miwa. His middle initial "S" is "Sal". Hisao Sal Miwa is the owner of the estate's listing real estate company, Myland Hawaii Realty, which is part of Aska Group (he is Pres/CEO) out of Japan. http://www.mylandhawaii.com/about/KENJI wrote:....we know the vendor is international.....maybe they are from Japan.
Mr. Miwa is also the Chairman of the Japan-America Society of Hawaii http://www.jashawaii.org/board-of-directors
He's the gentleman on the left, next to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

Appeared video from Zachary Knighton on set from Robin Nest. But I can't post this video. Appeared on Instagram Story. I click that circle and a video appeared to me.

Kenji, it was Fritz's father who designed the house for a Japanese client some time ago.KENJI wrote:Just found this on Fritz Johnson, the architect behind the new Robin's Nest......

I'm a bit confused... I see multiple sources online that say "designed by renowned Hawaii architect Fritz Johnson". Are you saying there's a Fritz Johnson Sr.?

Hey, Rembrandt's Girl. I asked Fritz Jr about it- yep, Fritz Sr. I don't think he practices anymore.Rembrandt's Girl wrote:Hi Danno,Danno wrote:Kenji, it was Fritz's father who designed the house for a Japanese client some time ago.KENJI wrote:Just found this on Fritz Johnson, the architect behind the new Robin's Nest......

Interesting! The sources should say "Senior" but Junior is getting all the credit... I suppose a father would want it that way! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Yes, that is a bit odd that the sources don't make that distinction between Sr. and Jr. as they usually do. Even on Fritz's site there is no mention of him being Jr. Oh well, we had the right name and family, just not the right Fritz. Thanks for setting the record straight Danno! Your source is excellent so it must be true! Hey, do you know Jr. well or did you just decide to e-mail him out of the blue in reference to the house and see if he would respond? Reason I ask, you mentioned that Sr. built it for a Japanese client...any idea who that might be? If it's confidential, it's confidential, no harm in asking though.Rembrandt's Girl wrote:Interesting! Hi Kenji, we're both architects and followed each other on Instagram for a few years.KENJI wrote:Yes, that is a bit odd that the sources don't make that distinction between Sr. and Jr. as they usually do. We've chatted a bit, but I don't know him well. I wouldn't ask who the client was though.
He's had a project of his own feature in the new H50 and he didn't seem to be aware that his father's work is the setting for the new Robin's Nest.

Thanks for filling us in! Too funny Jr. didn't know Sr.'s work will be the setting of R.N. 2.0.
Re: The New Robins Nest
Now we know why Lenkov didn't use Pahonu! RG just informed us that it is going to be demolished!
I think it would've made an excellent storyline for the pilot where they use Pahonu as Robin's Nest, but then the villain (Ivan or????) blows it up trying to get Thomas and the next episode (assuming there is one
) shows them at the new place. This gives the diehard fans closure on the old place and introduces the new nest (out with the old and in with the new). If it's going to be torn down anyways why not blow it up for the show. I doubt any of the Nesbitts are even living there, it would've been a perfect ending for the original Robin's Nest.

Re: The New Robins Nest
I'm curious to see how they portray this new Robin's Nest......will it be 200 acres from mountains to the sea. Also it will be interesting to see if they use multiple locations to piece that look together.
We know of 51 Kaikea Pl. ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EsIjc7JEkc which RG found and then RG also mentioned the dogs being used at the Banyan House in the Diamond Head area which was initially puzzling http://www.banyanhousehawaii.com/
Fast forward to the 1:05 mark of the trailer ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADAeeJclFIU and you see Jay running away from the dogs and towards what they are possibly portraying as the main house and what looks to be a "guest house" to the left.
The dogs were only used at the estate in the original so assuming they are not chasing Jay around on his case,
then they are really building R.N. into a very grand compound and supporting it with visuals from the various locations. All a guess, based on the trailer etc.....time will tell. Anyone else have a theory?
