Re: Forum shock!
Just to also say thanks to J.J. for all his hard work on the forum.
It's very much appreciated!
Was the actual time that we joined the forum showing before?
I remember the date but it seems a bit finicky to have that showing. Those phpBB guys are such nerds.

Re: Forum shock!
Hey, thanks guys. I really appreciate it.
I was finally able to get the spambot countermeasures configured correctly. phpBB 3 comes with its own built-in Q&A for forum registration (where you can create a question(s) and answer), but it is incredibly finicky to implement. I thought I had it setup several times, but the damn spambots kept registering. It turns out when you set the Q&A up, you have to do this funky sequence of: submit > back to previous page > back > then submit again! WTF! And if you do it that seems like the right way (the way it should be designed to do in the first place), it looks like it is properly configured! I swear, the guys who designed the spambot countermeasure Q&A section should be forced to chew on a ball of tinfoil for a week (or something similar). Unbelievable!
Anyway, if you're curious, the Q&A for registration is: What is the name of the MPI estate?* Believe it or not the spambots can actually Google search forum Q&A's and register, but MPI is generic enough that they can't figure out what it is. Muh-ha-haa! Spambots be gone!!
* I was going to go with a question like, "Name the episode where Magnum smoked his 7th cigar?" But that would be a little too hard core and would prevent actual real people from joining.

Thanks for keeping the forum looking great. And thanks for making the entry question the name of the estate. I don't know when the 7th cigar was smoked!
Re: Forum shock!
Thanks James.. Now I'll have that on my mind for the next couple of days. Lol
I'll go out in a limb and say Macs Back.
Nice work on the refresh though!
