A Case Of Rape (1974)

#1 Post by waverider »

Aloha! I was watching some old Bewitched clips on the net, then meandered onto this Elizabeth Montgomery TV movie, when lo and behold, Tom makes an appearance (sans moustache) diving into a pool and arguing with the wife.

Clip here:

[Tom (as Stan) appears at 3:43]

Addendum:
As for my feedback on the movie, I found it gripping. Fans of Montgomery's role as Samantha on Bewitched might have been a bit surprised or shocked by watching this. Montgomery's character, as the victim, is humiliated not only by her attacker, but subsequently by police, hospital staff, even her own attorney. But the extent to which they portray this is unbelievable at times (e.g. her lawyer flippantly talks about her case in an elevator full of people, for crissakes!).

Oh my god, I just watched this movie and didn't even notice that was Tom Selleck! Where was I during this scene?

Here's my review:

I'm gonna have to update it with the TS info! Thanks for this Waverider!

I also agree, it's a harrowing film. Liz Montgomery went out of her way to escape the "sitcom mom" stereotype and she had a wonderful TV movie career. Legend of Lizzie Borden is, well, a legend. Fantastic actress, and she's so compelling here.

I am sooo excited. This is the only movie I have been able to obtain.

Now my TS collection is complete.

Same here. I still can't help watching that show if ever I stumble upon it channel surfing.
