Brush with greatness - almost

#1 Post by Miss Q »

Hey Gang,

My hubby and I go to this hole-in-the-wall bar in town on fridays for happy hour. Nothing fancy but your money seems to last longer that in the chain restaurants... Its pretty close to a 'dive' but its clean.

Anyway, this past weekend after we left :( none other than Mr Brad Pitt came into the bar for a drink.

He and Angolina are going to be living on the North Shore of town (AKA the Gold Coast) starting in March while they film a movie.

Apparently Brad has a habit of checking out the local bars when he travels.

Not sure what type of reception he received, I plan on checking it out tomorrow :P. Maybe he will stop in again

Hey Miss Q,

I didn't know there were any divey bars in that Gold Coast area! I tend to be a fan of those establishments.

Semi related - Gold Coast always reminds me of Nelson DeMille, are you a fan of his writing?

Conch - I read the Gold Coast. The title caught my interest, after that not such a fan, but I understand his other books are better.

Gold Coast was a little flat, OK but not his best.

Try Plum Island. I go out East to the wineries often and it takes place mostly out there. It's cool to read about places you know. Plus, if you like it, there are three other books, and he's writing a fourth, featuring the same character.

Is this bar located anywhere near "West Egg" or "East Egg"? ;)
