I agree with both IslandHopper and Doc Ibold. :)
My husband is a big Steven Segal fan, so I know he will want to get this movie. I'll just borrow it to see Tom.

In regards to "Runaway" - my most vivid memory of that film is TS' character dropping the "F" bomb!

My most vivid memory of "Runaway" is at the end when TS kisses Cynthia Rhodes for what seems like hours! Sigh!

Some days ago I bought "concrete cowboys" and one of my sons came in while I watched it. He joined me and almost immediately asked, why one earth I bought such a bad movie?! Then he looked again, and grinning he said, "oh I see! Sorry!" and walked out of the room. :D

Has anybody seen "Daughters of satan"? I taped it last night (4.10 am. on MGM) Had no time to watch it yet, but in the movie info there, it was said to be some "Youth sin of Tom Selleck". :o

Carmen,

I don't know of anyone here who has seen it -- we in the States (to my knowledge) haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Hmmm, how can we get a copy of your tape so we can copy it to DVD?

I think it's supposed to be a pretty hokey, dated movie, but as TS fans, we all want to see it. (Well, most of us; well, maybe a few of us . . . )

If there's anything I can do to help figure out a way to help "distribute" it to those of us who want to see it, let me know!

D of S is just awful.....

I have everything he has ever done with 1 exception... He had many bad scripts in the beginning, but hey I get to see his face and hear his voice so I am happy....

Here's a glimpse...

And...I've got it on DVD. I found it about 2 years ago, brand new and sealed in a bargain bin somewhere. The DVD quality is way better than the clip above. Incidentally, Runaway is immpossible to find here in the UK.

Here's a montage to Runaway.

Cynthia was and is smokin...!

Runaway was on TV this evening. I had forgotten how much I felt Kirstie Alley was really hot in the 1980's (before she packed on the pounds). Cindy Morgan is (was?) a real cutie too!!

Actually, if you really want to see it, you can catch "Daughters of Satan" on hulu.com. Here's the direct link:

http://www.hulu.com/watch/14178/daughters-of-satan

Looks as if it's only 1-1/2 hours long ... which is probably a good thing, based on all the "reviews" I've read?

Kahunagirl,

I sure wish Carmen and I had known about that link before she went to all the trouble to make a DVD for me! But I'm glad she did, and I sent her DVDs of The Gypsy Warriors, The Chinese Typewriter, and Quigley Down Under as thanks for her effort. I think she'll enjoy QDU!!

Okay, I watched DOS tonight. All I can say is that when it ended, I laughed out loud. Next to NONE of it made the least sense, but I made a bunch of screenshots. I found it interesting to compare certain things to MPI -- for example, his house in the movie was like a small "estate" (in the Phillippines!!) (mini-Robin's Nest!!):

Image

opening the gate to Mini-Robin's Nest:

Entrance door (interesting similarity to Robin's Nest, yes??)

Image

Note his driving a red convertible sportscar approaching a gated house.

There was a Rottweiler named Nicodemus (instead of "the lads") and an interesting entrance hall to his house:

Image

The tan spot just left of center is the rear end of the Rottweiler.

Scenes in the downtown area of Manila (I assume) are similar to shots in MPI of Little Saigon:

Image

He wore Izod shirts:

There were several Magnum-esque looks:

(pic below looks like his arguing with Higgins look):

His hairy chest was in evidence:

Car guys, what kind of car is he driving? An MG?

Of course, this may all be academic if everyone watched the movie from the link provided . . . .

And it wasn`t big trouble to make that DVD for you, hope mine arrives within the next days - I am tired of watching soccer all night with my husband and sons
