Thanks for posting that link James. Wow, TS looks so young! He wasn't a bad actor even back then. :D

Yes, indeed eeyore! I love the sideburns and helmet hair!

And, BTW, I finally saw TS's Florida orange juice voice-over. Or, rather I heard it from the other room. Since when did he start sounding like Sean Connery without the accent??! (By this I mean pronouncing the sound "s" like "sh"?) Just an observation!

I ran across this myself last week, but I don't know! I wondered if it was a blooper from one of his productions?

It's from the "Concrete Cowboy" tv movie/pilot -- with Jerry Reed. They were two cowboys who accidentally became private investigators. I think it's got a copyright date of 1979 -- just a little pre-Magnum.

Looks as if TS has retained his Florida OJ gig ...

"Open on a beautiful juice pour."

That's the opening for all five proposed scripts for two new orange juice commercials being consumer-tested by the Florida Department of Citrus. The visuals will be slightly different versions of the "pour shot" in the current 15- and 30-second spots, and the narrative focusing on the health benefits of orange juice also breaks no new ground. Once again, TV hunk Tom Selleck will do the voice-over.

The full article is at: http://blogs.theledger.com/default.asp?item=2176286 and I can just hear TS's narration when I read the scripts!

Ahh! Thanks! I saw this on amazon.

Why am I feeling thirsty for some OJ all of a sudden?

Hope this isn't an April Fools joke, but the TV Guide TV listings for TS indicate that the TVGuide Network is going to be showing a "Close Up" on him on 4/1 at 1:00 AM. The description is:

Tom Selleck's career is examined. Also: interviews with the actor.

Sounds like another DVR opportunity!

I've seen that particular interview several times. It's pretty good, but just its pretty much the same old thing! :D

Don't know if this has already posted, but just saw that Tom is going to be on CRN radio today. I guess Robert Conrad has a talk show (who knew?) and Tom is on. Hope he talks about MPI! I think you can listen to it online...

Thanks layne,
I'll have to watch or most likely listen.
I haven't been here lately, its baseball season and I admit I am a baseball fanatic. It seems though wherever I go Tom Selleck is not far away.
I don't know if any of you watch or listen to John Riggins. I watch him when I get home from work on Masn. I know he is also on radio.Well I turned it on the other day and they are playing the Magnum PI theme. I thought they must be fans.well they are having a contest between some of the hosts to see who can have the best mustache. They were discussing how Tom has the best. They even had a guy on talking about how to grow a great mustache. Thought it was funny. The expert also talked about TS's mustache.

For what it's worth, I'm listening to this right now (7:25 p.m. EDST) and Mike Connors from "Mannix" is the guest, not TS. Maybe he's supposed to come on the next half hour?

I'm very disappointed . . . . so far.
