KENJI.....you're a SUPER SLUETH! Thanks for posting all the links.

I think the last one, (Cigar Aficionado), was my favorite. Very in depth, (at least appears to be), even though sometime ago, provides what we can only hope to be, an honest discourse with the man himself, and gives a, (at least to me), more personal, realistic view of who/how he is.

Still a good guy, and I really don't think Magnum would have been anywhere close to the same with anybody else in the role. Selleck brought Selleck to it, and that's what made TM who and what he was. JMHO :D

I think we could do a whole lot worse should he ever decide to run for office. Somehow, just don't see that happening.

Thanks 308GUY.
I agree the cigar article is the best! It is more in depth than most Tom Selleck interviews that is for sure. This one has to be promoted to the Print Media Section - a must read!

I missed that but, uuugh, saw him on The View this morning. Bahbwah gushed about the fact that he was on the first show of, uuugh, The View and credits him for giving the show credibility. Makes me wonder if he hadn't appeared on the first show if it would have been long gone by now...............

I saw it - couldn't quite figure out why he was on - just shared the story of him not getting the Indiana Jones part once again. But always good to see him smile since he doesn't little of that on Blue Bloods! :)

I kind of got the same impression.....as far as why he was even on....wasn't much of an interview. He did talk about his voice and how it was pointed out to him it could be his downfall if he didn't get it "straightened out"....ever notice the difference between MPI and BB? He definately has done his homework toward JEJ status. Personally, I think it was one of the things that defined his character as TM, wouldn't have been the same had he adopted his "DJ" voice early on. Either way, it is very recognisable, and that's alwaysa good thing, if you want to be remembered. :) I think the fact that he now does voice overs and off screen narration kind of suggests that his voice didn't hold him back any!

Maybe it was one of those deals where he was just gonna be in N.Y. a couple days and made the "rounds" while there...whatever.

I always enjoy seeing him, one of the "icons" of tinsle town that one can actually look up to  especially if you are under 6'4"!:magnum:

Well, after 12 appearings, nothing much to talk about, huh? :)

His voice is amazing, after all those years he still sounds like in the 80s.

Does Tom sound a little breathless? Too many cigars?

Hey, I see Hannah won $6,000 show jumping in Florida yesterday. I wonder if she keeps it or gives it to dad?

Tom Selleck's daughter Hannah just tweeted a pic of the family backstage at the Horatio Alger Awards this evening. She rarely posts anything about her parents, and certainly not photos...I think this is a first. Anyway, I was very pleasantly surprised to see this! Tom certainly looks dashing! :D

That is one handsome family, thanks for posting RG. I recommend everyone click on the link under the photo to read about TS growing up. There is some informtion that I never knew like his father being a B-29 mechanic when TS was born and Tom making the rank of Seargent in the National Guard...............
