I'm sure this has been asked before, but who was the girl with the bikini up in Tom's face during the intro?
During the "swimming lessons"?

Her name was Shirley something or other... Lt. Dupree could definitely help you out with her ACTUAL name!

Shirley Rogers, a local. She was an extra on the show for many years.
She also had a brief scene in Season One's "Don't Say Goodbye" as Rick's date.

It's a true pity that the woman responsible for such an iconic MPI image (the snorkel shot) was never credited in that episode. Shirley, we know who you are, and we thank you!

If nothing else...this site gave me Shirley's name. Best "Heater" on television.
