Vintage Vuarnet Skilynx Aviator Sunglasses - Model 374

#1 Post by N1095A »

The ultra rare Vuarnet Skilynx Aviator Sunglasses are on ebay now for any collector who may be interested. I'd buy them myself, but I bought a pair about 1 1/2 years ago on ebay, and they were just too dang small for me. Great lenses though.

If you get 'em, make sure to get the blue cord to hang 'em 'round your neck just like the "Big Guy"

For those who are still looking: these seem to be reasonably priced, and they ship world wide - it's just that you need some French to order them, eh?

I don't think there's a problem with shipping outside the EU. You need to go to the top left where it has a little flag and select the UK flag with the text "Hors UE" (Outside EU).

Oops! Spoke too soon...I always do that. Under "livraisons" (delivery), it only has the options of France, EU, Non-EU Europe, and French territories. BTW, they have a not entirely complete website in English: http://www.sunglasses-sports.com/

Lesson #1 Styles: Bondtoys is always right ;)

Anyway, I saved 2 Vuarnets now for myself. With 30% off and additional 10% you can't go wrong.

If any of our brothers from the US need help, just drop me a pm or contact me over my webpage.

Does it not say 40% off? And where do you see the additional 10 % I like discount? Approximately € 80 should be around $ 120, right?

Sorry. styles, please disregard rule #1: I have been wrong :)

Yes, it's 40% off plus additional 10% facebook discount off.

My maths is as follows:

Eur 79,-- minus 10% = Eur 71,10
Shipping Eur 8,- to Germany makes Eur 79,10

And that converts to US$ 100 today

These look like a deal, too ... the 145 is just the arms' marking, the 374 is usually printed on the inside of one arm, and as you can see from the left outside view, the printed writing is coming off.

My Vuarnets arrived today in perfect condition.

My concern is, that the brown colour is a bit too bright, they really look like this:

Am I wrong assuming that TMs sunglasses have been darker?

They are what 1095A posted. As he took the pic from an ebay auction, I was not sure, if the colour is like the sunglasses from the series.

I'll have to watch an episode again. Any advise, where the Vuarnets can be seen prominently?
