I was very happy (and a bit relieved) when I saw the Final Four and then what the winner was. So much is made of the beefcake factor - the short shorts, the hairy chest - that seeing such a character driven episode like Home From the Sea win made me feel better about how the the rest of the MPI fans out there who voted see the series.
As for being recognized, I have been, once, and it before even this Magnum Madness thing. It was last Spring after I did the SuperFan spot and when I was at the supermarket. I was distracted and a little harried. I pulled over to go over my list when a man approached me, introduced himself and asked if I was on TV. I really didn't know how to react, but I said I did do something for CoziTV recently. He said he thought it was me, the guy they see one the train in the morning. He introduced me to his boyfriend (to quote Seinfeld "not that there's anything wrong with that"). We spoke for a few minutes, they said they loved the SuperFan spot, the tiki bar (they couldn't believe it was in Queens) and then we went on our way. I still see them from time to time on the train in the mornings. My first fans!

Maybe Cozi could tweak the name to just Magnum Madness or Magnum March Mayhem...I know it's not the same, but it beats the alternative. Their legal team will probably still initiate a full court press on Cozi stating it's too similar.
