Yes, I was there for just such an occasion a few years ago - just a coincidence. I was able to go past the gate and down the drive, but showing up without a dog and looking the part of a tourist I stood out like a sore thumb. Someone gave me a knowing look that said 'I know why you're here and I get it, but please leave'. I didn't want to be rude, so I split. I'll post the photos I took here once I get around to it.[/quote]

I'm impatient to see your photos I haven't taken when I was there... one month ago; it's certainly the same guy i've seen when I was at the gate roadside.... he saw me ( with my Magnum shirt ) and made me a sign as "Hi" and I really regret to not have taken my chance to entry in the property... But you reassure me as he asked you to leave the place....
I think I'ld be in the same situation , in front of a guy asking me to leave...
I think this guy is a worker , trying to do the best to restaure this property quietly , without been annoying by Magnum P.I fans... by example....

As promised, here's a pic of my son and I crashing a dog show at Robin's Nest. Unfortunately, you can't see much of the house, but I decided I had gone far enough when I reached the inner gate.

I read today on The Squat Room that MPI was based in hawaii partly because CBS didn't want to close its 5-0 production facility.

I never knew there was an inner gate and fence. When I visited in 2007, there was a cyclone fence/gate at the end of the Gate House, beyond the front gate to the Estate (closed) but the fence in Styles photo is well beyond that and closer to the main house.........

Awesome picture Styles! :)

Pahonu has made some great additions to his 3D model of Robin's Nest/The Anderson Estate...

He is looking for some feedback on the model - mistakes, things missing, etc. The only way to do this is to view the model in Google Sketchup (free). If anyone is interested shoot me a PM and I will send you the .skp file.

Thanks

Id like to open the Google Sketch of the estate, please.
...and that, as they say, is the hell of it.

Wow!!!

When i created arround 8 years back an identical 3D-model of the estate it took me weeks, but it looked nearly identical to that one.

Great drawing of the estate. Im working on my own version using a house drawing program and seeing all of the pictures that I didn't know exsisted has helped tremendously. I need to make some changes...lol.

Again, great drawing using Google Sketch!

I've been told that the Hawaii Five-0 episode "Is This Any Way to Run a Paradise" (Season 4) features the estate. If anyone has the ability to verify it, I'd much appreciate it. This would be the 10th confirmed episode of HF0 to feature the estate!

Hi James,

The house used for filming interiors and grounds is not the estate.

There is however an establishing shot with McGarrett driving down the driveway and stopping at the open double doors. From then on,it's a different house.
