I thought this episode was ok for a Magnum (still better than most shows). Magnum's complete disbelief that the woman might like Higgins was a bit out of character, but I also thought Higgins not having any doubt was also a bit much.

The overall scheme/payoff was a bit of a letdown.

In total (if you are keeping score at home)

1) dead Man's Channel
2) Moscow to Maui
3) memories are forever
4) tropical madness
5) lady on the beach
6) Billy Joe Bob

Well, no wonder you don't like making lists. You're no good at them. If you were then you wouldn't have Dead Man's Channel at #1.

ZING!! :D

Yeah, I never put in the time to become one of the great list makers… total amateur. I’m surprised you didn’t go pro with all that list-making talent. :D

I almost made it. But I was cut. :( My ELA (earned list average) was low.

We're brothers from another mother.

I'm pretty close first 6 episodes.

Probably just flip 4 and 5.

1) Memories are Forever
2) Tropical Madness
3) Billy Joe Bob
4) The Woman on the Beach
5) From Moscow to Maui
6) Dead Man's Channel
Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

Underrated episode. No one talks about it much but it's just outside of my top 5 for the season. Maybe #6. Better than "Tropical Madness" before it. So far only "Memories are Forever" tops this one, easily.

I always thought Wings Hauser did a great stressed out Nam vet in this.

Many things "noteworthy" to me anyway.

The way the vet is living basically on the "beach" and out of touch with the "real world"....just that in itself deserves note, (again in "my" book)

The concept of Kelly trying to cash in on Kacy's promiscuity and then believing he can be above the law....sort of a wake up call again to the "real world".

Sgt. Jordan's attitude toward TM....just a lot to take in here! AGAIN...just from my P.O.V. :geek: :magnum:

All fine points. It's a more serious story and I tend to gravitate towards those. Any 'Nam connection is always a plus. Plus surfing, good cop, bad cop, Magnum taking the case personally, etc.
