This is a tough category, much more difficult than creating a bottom 10 list, because there many more great episodes than bad ones. I feel bad for even trying to compile a top 10 list because there are so many episodes I consider my favorites, I feel bad for leaving any out, but that is the category as defined by Higgiebaby. With the exception of "Unfinished Business" and "Paper War," I had to narrow down my top 10 based on the number of times I watched each episode, so here goes in chronological order.
1. No Need To Know
2. Lest We Forget
3. Beauty Knows No Pain
4. Mr. White Death
5. Faith and Begorrah
6. Jororo Farewell
7. Squeeze Play
8. Fragments
9. Paper War
10. Unfinished Business
I would feel better if it were a top 40 list.

The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

Ahh, so hard:
Memories are Forever
The Little Girl Who
Did You See the Sunrise
Way of the Stalking Horse
On Face Value
Paper War
Tropical Madness
Operation Silent Night
Home from the Sea
Innocence...A Broad
Unfinished Business is incredible, but it is such an intense episode. I don't tend to watch it as often as the others.
Seem to love the episodes where Thomas cries. Nobody does it better.

Good choices. I tend to like the emotional ones also. Just got through watching Distant Relative where Rick's sister dies. I was surprised on the DVD version to see the part where TM is telling Higgins about her death. What an emotional scene it was. Wow. I think they may have cut some of that out on the TV version. I also loved seeing Higgins softer side with TM is that scene.maggiepoole wrote: Seem to love the episodes where Thomas cries. Nobody does it better.
Lt. Tanaka, while I agree with you that it was pretty stereotypical portrayals, I think it was the intention to have them be as over the top as possible. Elmo was about as stereotypical of a Texan as you can get, as was Don Luis as a Latino.Lt Tanaka wrote:This was just awful. The most stereotyped cliched and plain wrong description of Ireland and Irish people imaginable. The only thing that topped it in terms of cringeworthiness was the downright rascist portrayal of the Japanese girls that "Mac" bought.IslandHopper wrote: 5. Faith and Begorrah
Come to think of it, Higgins was a little overly "British" as well.
This is tough! So tough I have to add three honorable mentions to my list. These are not in any order because that would take me another hour to figure out......
Luther Gillis File #521
Laura
Home From The Sea
Little Girl Who
Kona Winds
Infinity and Jelly Donuts
Death & Taxes
Home From The Sea
Paper War
Limbo
Honorable mention:

Did You See The Sunrise
Memories Are Forever
Steve

Lets not forget TC's portrayal as the "personal representative of the Sheik of Yahoo" and Rick as the Sheik's son in "I Do." Now that was bad.Doc Ibold wrote:Lt. I just noticed recently, in Memories Are Forever the tear coming down his face in the darkroom when Higgins is developing the pictures of Michelle with the french croix blow up.layne wrote:Good choices. Ever notice the thing too with him touching hair when he is comforting someone? He even did it to little Nancy Perkins In Luther Gillis File #521. Awwww, he knows how to comfort the ladies! Very heart warming.
