Steve McQueen was in The Great Escape with James Garner. Tom Selleck was in 2 episodes of Rockford with James Garner.

How about Jon Hamm?

Hi Conch,
Michael Clark Duncan was in The Green Mile with Tom Hanks
Hanks was in Saving Private Ryan with Ted Danson
Ted Danson was in Magnum PI

Bonus challenge:
Instead of 6 Degrees of Magnum, we can do a one off Six Degrees of The Lads. I know
its a ruff one, it will give you paws, but if you can't spot the answer please don't hound
me for it:
Link Lassie to The Lads

Lassie was in one episode of Taxi (Fantasy Borough Part 2) and Tom Selleck was in at least 1 episode of Taxi.

How about Benedict Cumberbatch?

TIME OUT!
I address this to Conch, since he started this thread.
On behalf of The Lads I declare a point of order. The whole point of this game is that the people(or in this case doggies) have to have appeared together in a continuous chain, though at several removes. Just because Selleck appeared in the tv series Taxi does not count, he did not appear with Lassie on the episode when she guest starred.
What is your ruling Judge Conch?

(Hold on, scrambling to change from Aloha wear to judge's robes)

It's not good enough to have been in the same TV series, by that standard everyone has been on the Tonight Show or The Late Show . . . If it's a guest star on a TV series they must share the same episode, or it's a double link.

Ex - Lassie was in the Taxi episode Fantasy Borough with Judd Hirsh
Judd Hirsh was in the Taxi episode Memories of Car 804: part 2 with Tom Selleck
Tom Selleck starred with The Lads on Magnum PI

Do you agree Styles?

That said, I think the easiest connection is:
June Lockhart starred on Lassie
June Lockhart guest starred on the Magnum episode Lest We Forget.

(OK, changing back to Aloha wear)

Ahh.. I skipped a step! Ok how about this: June Lockhart (mom on the Timmy version of Lassie) was in "Lest we Forget" from MPI season 1. I assume the Lads were in that episode?

If I'm right then next up:Benedict Cumberbatch. If I'm wrong, then I'll stop guessing on the Lassie/Lads connection!

Edit: Conch and I were posting at the same time!

Thank you Judge Conch(the check is in the mail). You were dead on with the June Lockhart link, of course.
Magnumsleftshoulder, in the following post you agreed with the Judge, you are a good sport, though of course you should pick up court costs. Given in the past Judge Conch mentioned his helping abandoned cats, I suggest 1,000 pounds of catnip delivered to his door wouldn't go amiss.

So, to be serious:

Kristoffer Hivju is a recurring character in Game of Thrones and shared episodes with Julian Glover (Oathbreaker being the latest)
Julian Glover was in the Magnum episode Deja Vu

I think that deserves a return of the BOOM.

Ian Gomez was one of the secretaries on Murphy Brown with Joe Regalbuto. Joe was the cab driver in season 6's "Going Home." Joe was also in Lassiter.

Edited to add: Could also link thru Candice Bergen. Tom was on Boston Legal with her.
Cumberbatch was in Star Trek Into Darkness with Peter Weller
Weller was in RoboCop with Miguel Ferrer
Ferrer was on Magnum, PI
True, but there's an easier way: Cumberbatch's father is Tim Carlton who was in High Road to China with Tom.
