They are money pits just like owning a boat, but at $60 (and thinking positively like Conch) I can afford a few years of enjoyment without getting too worked up about the repairs. Then the rational side of the brain will kick in and so will the wife's and I think the prancing horse would have to find a new stable, but boy those two years would be ones to remember! Just think, only 1,500 miles on it and it will already have a major done on it (timing belt...).... yikes!

I wonder what the car is valued at for tax purposes. If by some slim chance I won, I would have to pay not only federal income tax but Illinois, Cook County and City of Chicago sales tax..Great living in a State, County and City that don't know how to spend within their means and have plunged us into more debt than they can ever dream of getting out of................

Hi Steve,
It could be worse if you lived in Detroit......they are really taking a pounding! I know how you feel....there is sooo much waste out there that it drives us all around the bend.

Sorry Doc....not trying to mean!
I'm reading and hearing some real sad stories from your area.
If they are not true - apologies!
How bad is it?

Hi Guys,...."If" I won this little beauty....it would cost about $5k to ship to Australia...and I would have to pay 10% GST on the market value plus shipping costs when it arrives. I guess the best thing is that I wont have to pay any local USA taxes if I export out of the USA....yay....

Kimbosan....fingers crossed as its sold out now.. 8)

Not a raffle, but anybody got a winning lotto ticket, or a recent LARGE windfall?

It's in HI too! Can't imagine what the shipping would be to the continent....guess if one of us could buy it, we'd just have to move there! :magnum:

Anyway, nice looking car..only thing I don't like is the "Americanized" bumpers...they stick out quite a bit farther than the European style.

Kailua is just down the road from the Anderson Estate. I think that 308 should stay right where it is. Nice car in a nice location.....paradise!

I hope this is one of you:

The winner of the 1982 Ferrari GTSi is James L. Queen of Bossier City, Louisia(na). His ticket was drawn at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, by Watkins Glen Police Chief Thomas Struble.

Our greatest thank yous to all who supported the Center by purchasing tickets on the Ferrari.

Check with us next year for another cool car!
