I see from your aerial photos of the North Shore you flew over Shark's Cove (pic 1000337). My wife, son and I discoverd it during our 2007 trip and found it to be a wonderfull place to snorkel and see underwater wildlife without the huge crowds at Hanauma Bay............By the way, how much did the helicopter trip cost and did you have to request a fly over of The Estate?
Ah taxes Styles, they're always a bitch...
And Steve - chopper flight cost around $260 (USD) - I paid an extra bit (can't remember how much though) to sit up the front with the pilot for awesome uninterrupted views. Makani Kai were the operators, they were great. 45 min flight and got a DVD of the whole flight for $50USD, sent in the post.
Didn't have to request a flyover of the Estate at all, it's a standard visit.
As a side note, I went snorkelling off Waikiki beach and within 3 minutes of putting the gear on and going no more than 50m out and 2m deep a massive sea turtle popped up next to me - gold!
