Mgnum married widow of NVA Officer?

Just watched this last night and have a few questions:

Do we know how Magnum, a Navy SEAL, was not at least investigated for marrying the widow of an NVA Officer? That seems a bit hazardous, no? Sort of "sleeping with the enemy"? Particularly as we are now of the consensus (which settles the issue for me) that Michelle was at least half Vietnamese? Were members of the US military allowed to marry women with close, familial ties to the North Vietnamese?

As far as we know, Magnum wasn't investigated (but that may have been something that came up AFTER Memories Are Forever, but it was never addressed on the show.

And yes, Michelle is half-Vietnamese (or at least of Asian extraction)... see Higgins' quote from "little Girl Who"

And also how many service men during Vietnam and Korea married asian women? tons probably. Consider he was NIA it probably was an issue as well. As far as Magnum knew, he thought she died and they never showed the ceremony AFAIK. Granted they could have been waiting to be stateside to leagalize it.
