Used to watch Columbo when it was first aired, you know, back in the "ole days" Always liked it then and not much has changed for me regarding that. Just got my boxed set from Amazon of the entire series plus all the movie specials were included, at least as far as I can determine. Am in the ...

Welcome Stelth! Haven't been here very long myself, but just wanted to say hey, welcome aboard. There are some very well versed folks here. All of us share some of the same passion, we like MPI. Used to live in S. Miami, but that was back in the early 70's, about the only thing I ever miss is the we...

ALL good suggestions!

Second Elvira and another vote for Robert Urich.

How about Goldie Hawn, or Farrah?

Also:
Sam Elliot or Clint Eastwood. As I said before, the list could go on and on and on....

Another James Garner vote. There are so many that could have been good/entertaining, doesn't make much sense to try to list them all, but just off the top of my head...Buddy Ebson..Lonni Anderson..Harrison Ford..Burt Reynolds..Andy Griffith..the list could go on and on. Eddy Murphy woulda been a gas...

Welcome extended to you as it was to me. Glad to see more folks join in!

Everyone I've encountered here has been more than cordial, and I can't think of a better group of people anywhere on the net.

Yes, I've talked to my local guy. He will accept anything I decide on and do all associated paper work for $25, that seems extremely reasonable to me. I heard back from Firearmspro about the Colt (Umerex/Walther) 1911 .22LR...they are sold out, no ETA on new stock. I'm hesitant to start just "lookin...

If "money is no object" applied to my situation, I would probably have an original 1911 .45 AND a dedicated 1911 .22! As you point out, if you buy a quality piece to begin with, the wear patterns would not be much of an issue. I understand that and totally agree...BUT my finances being what they are...

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the input. The colt looks like what I might end up with at this point. Thanks a bunch for the link and the info. It's between that and the GSG. I actually looked at the option of the "conversion" kit, but decided that same thing mentioned, would eventually end up with ...

Been looking at .22 semi-auto pistols for "plinkin/target" cause the ammo is allot cheaper than anything else I own. I do have an old Winchester, but am wanting a pistol that uses the LR ammo. Have found a number of 1911 look-a-likes in .22 cal. but would like somebody's opinion that probably knows ...
