Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Hi Sam, that would be great. It's the posts in this topic, pages in the 50s. Here's the link to page 56. http://magnum-mania.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=285&start=825 Someday, I hope to build a replica of the guest house. As discussed, the exterior dimensions will have to be adjusted to fit the r...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
I remember when the place was listed they hinted the price was more lot value than anything as the place was a complete gut on the inside.....well, it was just confirmed..... the Nesbitts/Obamas  paid lot value! Actually, the lot value is: land + demo. costs. Not to mention the other fees/cos...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Nevermind... I just had another look at the live shot. I thought the perspective was from the seaward of the boathouse. It isn't, it's near the far property line.

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Not commenting on lightning rod issues... ;-) If they are demolishing the improvements, they have to gut the place somewhat beforehand. That MAY HAVE BEEN the "renovations" they thought they were seeing. The good news if the former President ends up owning the property... They wouldn't divide up the...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
There may be a number of reasons why they'd keep the slabs. Jupiter Island has some unique rules for permitting, and it may be the same here. Keeping the original footprint, possibly with the addition of some new ground level space, may prevent impact fees, some environmental regulations, SETBACK C...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
That doesn't look like a place where there is working being done, or like they plan to do any.... :-/
How can a Magnum reboot be Magnum without THAT place. It was the fifth main character on the show.

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
On a positive note, the lawn looks much healthier than the MPI days. Real estate marketing photos are taken with an interesting process.... They take multiple exposures (kind of "rapid fire" process) and layer them to create depth and deeper hues without the oversaturation that is common when incre...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Those photos are both very intriguing and utterly depressing.
What a travesty, but it's also very cool to see the property from so many vantage points.
Thanks for posting the full album!!!!!!!!!

Re: A 2018 Reboot
Maybe we'll get lucky and the top brass will pull the plug before it airs like they did with the Beverly Hills Cop show several years ago. One can only hope... Speaking of the top brass, Les Moonves has been friends with Tom Selleck since they were in drama classes together in the 1960's. Les can't...

Re: A 2018 Reboot
You’re right about Higgins Conch. They’ll want sexual tension from the get go. As for the lead; I’m sure his mom loves him and he’s kind to kittens, but he seems indistinguishable from any other males in these police procedurals. He might have made a good Rick. Are there any men in Hollywood over 5...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Geez, no one needed to delete anything. The person who complained just joined the boards a couple of weeks ago. JJ Walters is the founder of the site and Sam has been here since 2007! I read Sam's now deleted post this morning and it cracked me up. Supposedly, a friend of the ex-prez now owns the e...
