Live stream of consciousness reboot thoughts as I watch
(Spoilers ahead if you’re dvring to watch later)
Man, the new guys’s Surf ski is a far barge compared to TS’s Hayden spec ski. Of course TS was an accomplished surfskier in real life. New guy is likely a surfski newbie who needs all the primary stability he can get.

Re: I have taken possession of Pahonu!
Hi Guys, This is my first post in a long time. I could not log on under my old name (if I was remembering it right) so I created a new one. As it turned out it was probably best. My new username is "My Pahonu" and as my first post implies I have taken possession of Pahonu...in my mind that is. I ha...

Re: Magnum P.I. quotes you still use in everyday conversatio
Oh, and of course, when I am out in my sailboat or kayak, and a jetskier or motorboater runs by too close and I'm knocked around in his wake, I do shout "you TURKEY!"

Re: Fig Newtons and Milk
I used to eat fig newtons as a kid, but of course I also used to like Mrs. Paul's fish sticks and Chef Boyardee beef ravioli. I agree with Mad Buck, Magnum's diet is appalling. But I guess after being used to Navy food, and C-rations (or worse, LRP ration) in Vietnam, along with the whole reverting ...

Re: Dog names
Sir Algernon Farnsworth? What does this dog look like? I've googled a bit and there seems to be a couple of varieties. Is this one mainly white, or mainly brown? Just curious. I've never seen this type of dog before, i don't think. It's funny, I was talking with my wife the other day about how I wa...

Re: Magnum P.I. quotes you still use in everyday conversatio
There are a lot of varieties when it comes to southern accents. Often actors juts fall back on some bizarre Gone with the Wind style imitation or, occasionally, an over the top Texas caricature. Oddly enough, British actors are much better at doing southern accents than non southern American actors...

Re: "Official" Magnum Mug on Amazon
I wonder who would actually want that mug. I think it sucks. It's like they're saying a (blank) baseball hat, sunglasses and a moustache are what represents Magnum P.I., not the characters or actors. It would be different if they had a photo of Tom Selleck as Magnum or a group photo. It also seems ...

Re: The Magnum PI reboot thoughts
Definitely put me in the "mixed feelings" camp. Part of it is because, how do you get lighting to strike twice, that mix of actor charisma and chemistry between characters? From the videos of Jay Hernandez's auditions, I don't see the kind of charisma that TS had. Another part is I see it being too ...
