And I loved that nostalgic closeup of the Robotron: 2084 arcade game. That used to be one of my favorites as a young lad. An incredibly fast, intense game with duel joysticks. :) http://magnum-mania.com/images/4_11_e_full.jpg http://content.artofmanliness.com/uploads/2010/03/duel.jpg Two gentlemen ...

Am I the only one to think that Platt fella is one passive-aggresive, emotionally manipulative son of a gun? Only St. Theodore of Louisiana would put up with that.

Why do you say that? I'm asking because I know next to nothing about those characters...

Could anyone help me with the name of the classical piece that's playing in the background in the scene where Higgins is getting ready for dinner carrying a centerpiece, just before they cut to Magnum getting ready to watch the baseball? Thanks!

I'm split about this one. I think the bit about Magnum fighting his demons is quite poignant, but on the other hand, the whole fake Mac malarky is just farcical. You can see they were desperately trying to shoehorn Jeff McKay back into the show. Not even the actors seem convinced about their lines.

So far in the series it seems to tie for worst episode with basketball willie. That's a serious accusation! The whole 'caring Magnum' theme seems to be a plot to recruit a female audience a few seasons into the show. I think I spotted a flub. When Magnum drives the girl to rehab and the baddies eng...

This really is an oddball episode. Another vote here for the Jag. It really is the quintessential Higginsmobile - it fits him like a glove.

Surely that's the whole point? :|

Rutledal wrote:I also think I noticed a flub. In the scene where Higgins comes with the diamonds he found in his "double-v c" Rick calls Cynthia for Cindy. It might just be that me hearing is bad, but I think it was the case.
Rutledal, Cindy is short for Cynthia.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the hilariously bad night flying effects when they're singing Silent Night!

There's one evident flub in this episode: When they're walking away from the nun, Luther reminisces about his education with the nuns. Now what kind of Catholic calls their child Luther of all names? :? *Spoiler* Also the beginning when Luther talks down this case as your average case, "Feels like I...

5. While Rick is trying to get information on Kam Chung from Mr. Hiramoto, he is getting a massage and he tells Mr. Hiramoto that he doesn't expect the information "gratis" and that if Mr. Hiramoto is ever in Brooklyn and needs anything to give him a call. Brooklyn? I thought Rick was from Chicago....

This episode is average at best, but my favorite scene is where Dorsey and Magnum are in the locker room relaxing in their respective whirlpool baths and the female owner of the team comes in and introduces herself to Magnum. She extends her hand to shake his, but he does not reciprocate because he...

As the chairman of the Anglo-Hawai'ian Cultural Awareness Society, I'd like to make a few points: The Ferrari at the beginning is American spec - it's clearly Magnum's Ferrari with different plates. Like someone commented before me, those plates are nothing like Italian plates. They just made someth...
