So, who is this guy?

I thought the site was down the last couple of months but I guess I was using the wrong URL:
http://www.magnummania.com/

Luckily, I had saved some links to specific episodes and I discovered my mistake.

Actually, I need to add to my previous post regarding WOMEN WHO LOOK BEST IN A BIKINI: (C) The Two Flight Attendants who were at Robin's Nest during the pilot episode "Don't Eat The Snow In Hawaii." Greta and Inge, but they might actually belong in their own category: Women who look best OUT OF a b...

Dana Delaney. I agree! It is quite an oversight that she is not on the list, especially considering she came pretty close to being Mrs. Thomas Magnum! The chemistry between Dana Delaney and Tom Selleck in the season 7 opener, "L.A.", was amazing! Not so much in "Out of Synch", though, but it was pr...

Zahn, Tyrese and McConaughey are more in the same age range I believe. Tyrese is about ten years younger than the other two, born in 1978 -- just before Magnum hit the airwaves! Zahn was born in 1967 and McConaughey was born in 1969, so they probably watched Magnum as teenagers, if they were allowe...

Re: Movie thoughts

Last, I must say I am disappointed with Tyrese as TC. I thought that a good choice would have been Michael Clark Duncan from The Green Mile. He has the vulnerability that TC often demonstrated without the 'over the top' cockiness of an actor like Tyrese. Early in the series T.C. was very cocky (it ...

It seems to me that one essential aspect to the Magnum story is that these are all Viet Nam vets. Making the new characters be Gulf War vets makes it a completely different story, because Vets from 'Nam carry around a vastly different set of baggage than Vets from the first Gulf War. You are close,...

Commander Rockwell, the POW in this episode

I watched this episode again last week on my DVR, recorded from WGN. The credits indicate that Bob Harker played "Colonel Rockwell", but he was clearly Navy and there is no rank of Colonel in the Navy. In several scenes he is shown in uniform wearing the insignia of a Commander, including the pictur...

Magnum Trademark Scene

Okay, same topic, new subject. The scene in which Magnum is wearing his trademark red/blue parrot shirt , half turns to look at the camera (Higgins), wiggles his eyebrows, and grins appears near the end of this episode, when Magnum wins his bet (a free dinner) with Higgins that he can get into the s...

...Magnum refers to "Cousin Ho." You certainly have a good memory! That scene was in the show as presented on WGN this morning. It is what I referred to as memorized dialog. The narration near the beginning of the show, when Magnum referred to Ho as Mai Lin's Uncle, was probably read from a script ...

Re: A Great Episode! Did You Notice The Flub?

When he entered, the narration by Magnum/Selleck referred to Mai Lin's "Uncle" Ho, when in fact it was her "Cousin" Ho. I watched this episode this morning and was just about to post that! It could be either way, actually: Ho could be her cousin or her uncle. I don't think there was any other menti...

I guess it could be a reference to his "invisibility".

I watched it with the subtitles on and it is defintely "Bulle". Good source! So was it "La Bulle" or "Le Bulle"? Anybody here speak French? Does "bulle" actually translate to "bubble"? I got the feeling from the episode that he was supposed to be more of a "bull" -- maybe somebody was lazy with the...

Does anyone know for sure about the spelling of Loggia's nickname in this episode? IMDB says "La Bull", but he is French (Philippe Trusseau) so wouldn't his nickname be French as well? That would make it "Le Bulle". Also, everyone pronounces it "Bool", not "Bull". which would be more consistent with...
