As far as I can recall "Begorrah" is used in the phrase "Gosh Begorrah" being an expression of amazement, rather like Chief O'Hara would use in the Batman series of the 1960s.

Has anyone else from the UK noticed how this episode is never shown in the syndicated run MPI gets on DMAX ? Surely it's not been censored for being too racy a plot line or subject matter? I remember it being shown during it's original run in the 1980's on ITV, so why are censors all squeamish about...

Still, great memories though.

When this was shown on DMAX there was a definite cut between Magnum realising that Dick's wife was about to kill herself in the building away from the main house and him comforting her after he stops her doing this.

What happens in between and why was it cut out ?

I have to agree with the earlier post.....he says the words with such conviction it hits you squarely in the gut. And that, as they say, is the hell of it. The ending alone raised this one from an average episode to a damned good one. I liked that closing piece of narration so much that I ripped it...

She was also in another Glen Larson production, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, the episode "Plot to kill a city" where she played a leather clad mind-reading villainess. This aired on 11 October 1979. http://magnum-mania.com/images/decarl_buck_rogers.jpg :) Wow...yowser. I feel like I'm 13 again....

I just saw this on DMAX today and while it's not a stand out episode it had some nice touches characterisation wise. What got me was some of the commentary given by the first victim a few minutes before he got shot was so dated and non-pc. He couldn't get away with saying that kinda stuff today, but...

I just watched this episode on Sleuth. I just found out that Claudia is Larry Manetti's real wife. I think they met when they both were on Battlestar Galatica in the late seventies...I thought I read that Larry's wife Nancy Decarl was on Battlestar Galactica, but now I can't find it. They met befor...

Oh dear, this is a pretty poor episode - it even has a friend who is never mentioned before and never seen since as TM's love interest. The only comedy to be had is in watching actors trying to look competent in playing tennis. I was actually hoping the brat would get wasted, before it was revealed ...

I just saw this episode on the UK satellite channel DMAX today, I had never seen it before or read about it on this site. Sadly, the episode is heavily edited and the final gun shot from Magnum wasn't shown, so I was left to wonder "did he do it or not?". Even without the gunshot my jaw dropped bec...
