Re: Paradise Blues (4.15)
This may have already been mentioned... magnum goes backstage and discovers that the singers dressing room has been ransacked, he tells the policeman watching the door "It's ok - I'm a private eye." as he slips past him. I've just finished watching this and to me it sounds like TM says: "It's ok, I...

Re: Let the Punishment Fit the Crime (4.17)
This was a pretty good episode with yet another twist I didn't quite see coming. Seeing Agatha get so much more screen time reminded of who I thought she reminded me of but couldn't quite put my finger on who - it's one of the british comedy drag act hinge and bracket: http://www.hingeandbracket-off...

Re: On Face Value (4.19)
This was quite a good episode with one of those twists I didn't quite see. Refreshingly there wasn't an annoying female guest star - Ms Balsam was watchable although I must be getting immune to Kathleen Kennedy's annoying presence as she didn't bother me so much - I knew what to expect from her. Bit...

Re: Rembrandt's Girl (4.14)
I saw this last night and while there were, as ever, some nice character moments, as has been mentioned before the annoying female guest star routine has been done rather too many times already. As it seems I'm becoming obsessed with proper english accents on MPI I had to laugh at the hilarious one...

Re: Squeeze Play (4.7)
Luckily, I never got hit in the head. When I was a kid in the mid-80's, I remember there was a major league player for the Houston Astros who got hit in the face with a fastball! His name was Dickie Thon, and it broke his eye socket and ended his season. He recovered , but was never the same, havin...

Re: Distant Relative (4.4)
I agree with those who said they thought this episode would have worked better as a two-parter. The first half could have been the lighter comedy episode ending with the shocking death of Wendy. The second episode could have been the grittier half of the story - Magnum's investigation, the revelati...

Re: No More Mr. Nice Guy (4.13)
I'm struggling to get through this one and on the basis of what I've seen so far(I couldn't even watch it all in one go) I've given it my lowest vote ever. Not only is the story/plot rather creaky but the supporting cast(Higgins/TC/Rick) seem to act a little out of character but my main antipathy fo...

Re: Operation: Silent Night (4.10)
I liked this episode and pretty much everything has been said about this episode already, although I did detect a major Higgin's accent flub, no way would an englishman say "A-looo-me-nun", it would obviously be "a-loo-minny-yun" when he described the construction of the crashed japanese plane.

Re: Almost Home (3.11)
As for my opinion of the episode: I didn't care for it that much. It was ok. I don't typically like the episodes that feature a guest star who is supposed to be annoying for comedic effect. I did like the Pearl Harbor tribute at the end. Agreed, there were a few too many "annoying" guest stars/kids...

Re: Squeeze Play (4.7)
It was also slow-pitch softball, another variation of the game, which requires the release of the pitch in an upward arc, and a potential strike is one that lands on home plate. This is dramatically different than fast-pitch and baseball proper. This is because it is considered more of a social gam...

Re: The Look (4.9)
I watched this one today and rated it pretty good, mainly for the twist of Holly turning her gun on the supposed villan of the show - I didn't see that coming. I also noticed something that really dated the episode, a picture of Boy George in the corridoor of the radio station. Being a teenager in t...

Re: Squeeze Play (4.7)
I will have to admit, I think I learned more about cricket in this post than at any other time in my life! One thing of note was that it was a softball game, so in the the co-Ed leagues here in the States, you have to have an equal number of men and women, or at least a set amount of women. That wo...

Re: Distant Relative (4.4)
Lots of light and shade in this episode, tragedy and humour from one comment to the next. TM must have felt devastated when he realised Ricks sister got killed on his watch and Rick was understandably angry at him. I voted this as "pretty good" and one that cements the camaraderie of the three vets;...
