Re: The Equalizer

I absolutely love 'The Equalizer' - Woodward is on top form in this show and anyone who hasn't seen it, should check out 'Callan' that he made in the late 60s in the UK. A truly superb actor was Edward Woodward.

Re: No More Mr. Nice Guy (4.13)

I quite enjoyed this one but conning Rick, TC and Higgins was a bit off. One thing about this episode - when Carol is telling Magnum some hometruths about how he uses his friends, is it just me or is her hair slightly different? The gr(e/a)y bits do seem far less obvious in those scenes than when sh...

Re: The Case of the Red Faced Thespian (4.12)

I just couldn't buy this one. This is playing it for laughs gone too far - yes, Higgins doing Shakespeare is good tongue-in-cheek entertainment but the whole thing is a bit of a nonsense I feel. Nice to see Ronald Lacey in Magnum. What I didn't get here is murder or no murder, why are the police/amb...

Re: Hardcastle and McCormick

Thanks for posting these pics and your experiences. I love Hardcastle & McCormick (have been covering these in depth on my own forum - apologies for the inadvertant blatant plug). What's great about this show is the friendship angle - like Starsky & Hutch and many other great shows these guys are es...

Re: Home From the Sea (4.1)

I recently saw an episode of (new) 'Hawaii Five O' - season 5 episode 23 called "Moʻoʻolelo Pu" "Sharing Traditions" where Kono (Grace Park) is trapped out at sea having flashbacks. Hmm, thought I - whether it be intentional or not, this was unquestionably a Magnum rip-off of the highest order. :sho...

Having seen seasons/series 1 to 3 back and forth (on UK "DMAX") I decided at last to get on to the DVDs and watch this series. I have just seen this episode for the first time. At the beginning I was wondering what on earth was going on and of course it is predictable that Magnum will somehow be sav...

As an English teacher (and a Brit), I was certain when I watched this that the meaning of the word is definitely "nob" and not "knob" i.e. nob is a slang expression referring to person of wealth or high social position. Admittedly, this is an old-fashioned expression and does feature in other period...

"obtuse" / "vague" - I just wonder sometimes if Higgins has to "water down" things for Magnum to understand. Having watched this today I spotted that the red Jaguar only has one rear brake light working at the end of the episode as it leaves the estate. A great Magnum episode, lots of action through...

I just saw this episode on the UK satellite channel DMAX today, I had never seen it before or read about it on this site. Sadly, the episode is heavily edited and the final gun shot from Magnum wasn't shown, so I was left to wonder "did he do it or not?". Even without the gunshot my jaw dropped beca...

Hey ho, I am the person that posted these outtakes (and this is my first post on this great site btw!). I run a similar site for a UK show called Minder, hence my YT name :) I can give you some more info about where they came from. They are from a US TV show called "Life's Most Embrassing Moments" w...
