I never noticed that when I first watched the episode but on closer inspection it does seem that a bit of help from the make-up department was used.

The flashback also Higgins without a mustache for the only time in the series. This poses a question. Was John Hillerman's mustache real and he shaved it off for that scene or did he always wear a fake mustache?

I thought this episode was just plain silly. A show that largely portrays itself as a serious show (serious as far as TV detective shows go anyway) should never make a parody episode. It just makes it the laughing stock of TV land and the reputation of the show suffers as a result.

You never see interviews like that in England. It just goes to show how different interviews are conducted either side of the Atlantic.

I'm going to also have to go for the model plane incident.

I haven't seen this episode in a few years but I do remember it being a good one. I have got all of the region 2 boxsets of MPI and I think I'll have to start watching them over again at some point.

I've never been in an elevator of a building being demolished but I'm pretty certain the rubble falling from above would destroy the elevator and when the elevator falls down the shaft it would have certainly injured Magnum and Higgins at best.
