solid show...........not the most dynamic, but the lead characters grew on you. Problem was it ran up against must see tv on NBC..........CHEERS. That was a tough battle. Inevitably I would catch Simon/Simon repeats during the summer.

the Christmas Eve episode on an uninhabited island used for war game blasting was a bit weak.

honestly I think the makeup ws used to emphasize his brush with death.........I don't think they were going for medical accuracy.

good call on NCIS.........they have a lead character that has a military past that they can tap when they want for storylines, ala Magnum. not much has really changed. We still have the primary genres of DRAMA television that have always sold..... Medical Courtroom Police only the names/faces change.

so it sounds dead...........or at least until the point Selleck is incapable of pulling it off even in the eyes of the fans. His Jesse Stone movies only add ammo to the argument he can do it. They'll have to wait until the original actors are either dead or in a retirement home.
