Can't wait. I am doing the Moloka'i Hoe outrigger canoe race on 10/11 and hanging around Oahu for a few days afterwards. Tues I have an OC1 (one man outrigger) that I am picking up in Kailua and, weather permitting, paddling down to the estate. I plan on swimming in the tidal pool and snooping aroun...

Enjoyable to say the least. Lenny Montana must be huge as he makes TM look like a dwarf. Mimi Rogers looked positively gorgeous. All in all it was an interesting plot with a neat twist for the ending.

I guess you either loved it or hated it from the way the ratings came out. I rated it a 9 as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe I liked it because, coincidentaly, it's now early September and football season is gearing up!

Plus there are some classic TM vs. Higgins lines. Simply classic!

I can remember the line, too, but not the episode. I believe it means, "Very amusing, Jonathan" said with a bit of irony. So....Gillian Dobb appeared in 32 episodes, 29 as Agatha, her first appearance in this role was in "Black on White." That get's it down to 29! At 45 minutes per episode it could ...

I snagged the chopper for $19 in an unopened box a few months ago. So far it is the best investment I have made this year. I keep reminding my wife of this.
I have an easier time with cigars. She never looks inside the humidor to take a tally.

Revell TC's Vanogan and Chopper

Just noticed on eBay, ending in about 4 hours. The VW is @$36 and the Hughes @ $20. The last VW fetched $150. I am not bidding as my wife would be VERY unhappy!!

I wasn't too sure about this episode when I put it on as I hadn't seen it in awhile. I get the ones I like and don't like mixed up. Anyway, I think this is one of my favorites. Gave it a 9.5 as did a few others. The plot was certainly inventive and the acting was great. I've decided I like "serious"...

I think there is a post somewhere related to this. Regarding paddling for fitness....back in the 80s guys were doing marathons, triathlons, etc. Magnum was into that as well as surfski paddling. Reality check! Knees! Gotta find something to do beside running. So I kinda remember surfski paddling fro...

Wow! The "you walk like a duck!" scene where Magnum ends up passionately kissing Andrea after the two argue and push each other....what a classic scene! It made me think of Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert in "It Happened One Night." Just a great scene. Tom Selleck does have a certain "Gable-esque"...

Speaking of Hungarians.....I did the Moloka'i Hoe race last October and right next to my boat, on the beach in the little harbor of Hale O Lono, on Moloka'i, were a bunch of Hungarian Olympic paddlers. These guys paddled either K1 or C1, Olympic boats and got together as a team to see how they would...

Magyar Magnum

Here you go, the snorkel scene dubbed in Hungarian. I am 1/2 Hungarian (even speak a little) AND intend, someday, on having my Christmas card be the snorkel scene picture (starring me and my wife, of course).

What I really like about this forum is that it makes watching the episodes that much more interesting. I am about 1/2 way through Season 2 for the 2nd time. I will remember this posting and when Season 5 appears again on my screen I will watch with a discerning eye! Another thing that's fun, read ah...

The librarian, Rebecca Clemons, too bad we didn't get to see her in other episodes. That was one hot scene and poor TM, was so clueless. I would have like to see her character appear in other episodes as "The Hot Librarian." This really was an entertaining episode, verging on classic status. The sce...
