Absolutely one of the best. I especially like the section near the end. No dialogue, only music, Phil Collins, and the action. Talk about great directing! This is one of my top 3 or 4!

I thought it was great! The surfski race was especially interesting as it is this series that got me into surfski and ultimately outrigger racing.
All in all, it was a good episode.

Higgins shows himself to be a stand up guy when the chips are down.
However, the whole episode seemed to be "sleep walking." Even the actors didn't seem to be into the episode. Oh well, it was still enjoyable to watch.

Any guess as to location? North Shore? Those Niihau shell are quite expensive but make exquisite necklaces.

I've always thought that this episode would be a good way to spend an evening with friends who might not know anything about MPI or not be rabid fans... a good intro or nostalgic visit to 80's TV.
It is a thoroughly enjoyable two part episode and it had me guessing 'whodunit" right 'till the very end.

If you have time take the ferry to Molokai. Rent a car for a day. Just got back from there. Definitely laid back. Did the 56th Molokai Hoe outrigger canoe race across the channel to Waikiki. What an event! TM would have loved it.
