Found some HD rips of Magnum from a german group... the episodes look fantastic that I've seen so far, not cropped and not upconverted from SD masters. So here's hoping for a bluray release or a possible HD airing here in the States!

I agree, but it's pretty obvious from seeing it in person that it's in disrepair, but it's her house; who are we to judge. She also is an heiress, so I'm fairly certainly she has enough money to fix it up, but once you get to a certain age, you probably don't want to worry yourself with trivial thin...

It amazes me how very good television was during the MPI production years & how deplorably bad it is today. Hawaii Five-0 coincidentally is the only show I can think of which comes close & interestingly is doing pretty good in a time when most television shows don't last more than a single season b...

Found some HD episodes of Kojak on usenet, they look like the real deal; HD, full frame (not cropped). Hope MAgnum receives the same treatment!

IIRC, Tom Clancy was supposed to write a script after the show ended for a planned movie, which obviously never happened. Did the script get written and has anyone read it?

I kind of noticed this too... perhaps it's because the show became routine; most cop/detective shows become dull after a while. Magnum is one of the few shows to have never jumped the shark; it was the same four guys throughout the whole show's run, no precocious kids added to show for comic relief ...

Hopefully someone will record these and possibly share them somehow! I'll be interested to hear if they're simply upconverts from the DVD masters, and if they're possibly cropped to 1:78 to fill the frame.

I'm half tempted to fly out for this event, I have enough miles on HA I think. I know both those guys make appearances at conventions here and there, but how cool would it be to see them in Hawaii and with the chopper too!
