Re: Recurring Characters
In my opinion, some female characters in MPi should have been better highlighted and could have been the subject of a more recurrent plots... I think of Erin Gray, Mimi Rogers (what a charm!) and of course Jean Bruce Scott, who is all finesse and delicacy... ... But it was another time and maybe fem...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Is there any electricity out there at the boat house? It’s a good point about grandfathering in the structure based in its location. It’s probably what saved it. What people do sometimes here is rebuild a structure from the inside under the guise of “renovating” when you would never be able to get ...

ENSHealy figuring out the timeline problem with Magnum not getting scouted out for baseball when it took me plus a GorilaMask to establish that (mostly him) is impressive. In the words of countless drunks throughout history (I am completely sober), "I love you guys." Yes, that scene in "Mad Buck Gi...

It seems to be still common politeness practice in Japan: "Take off your shoes in the en...

I'm annoyed by this range thing. It's one of the most obvious flaws in the script. So I watched the introduction of the episode again. The best at the time (the MiG-29 only entered service a few years later) seems to be the MiG-25 with a range of just over 1000 nautical miles (1 600 nm ferry range a...

So the guy was ferrying a Cessna 172 from Van Nuys, CA to Oahu. That is a distance of 2,550 miles. A Cessna 172 at 10,000 feet and 45% power has a range of 638 nautical miles (734 miles) according to https://www.cessnaflyer.org/specifications-172.html . He would not get even close to Hawaii unless ...

Hi everyone,
The fact that the seawall is continuous up to the property line and without any other access (especially in front of the boathouse) seems to indicate that the latter will have another function...Technical room for pool, summer kitchen, leisure terrace ?

Hello everyone and a very happy new year! I must apologize for this long disappearance from the airwaves, but I have had some very serious family issues to deal with over the last six months. Things are getting better and are on the way back to normal. I hope to be able to gradually resume my activi...

Re: "feel/mood" of Magnum PI seasons?
Lest We Forget is one of my favorites, I really liked to 40s scenes, and the real life father-son, mother-daughter casting worked for me. I liked the show JAG too. A few of my fav episodes are JAG: San Diego and Hail and Farewell... I believe DPB is part of the writting team, not sure if the idea o...

Re: "feel/mood" of Magnum PI seasons?
Like the OP (who never came back with a response??) I've been finding solace in Magnum through these weird times. I think I tend to do that at different stages in life. If I recall back to when the board was much more active, there tended to be a common theme among many Magnum devotees who turned t...
