Re: Was Higgins a US Citizen?
Good Question K Hale. Fortunately, I haven't seen her since my daughter's high school graduation, and that's nearly 2 decades. To be honest, I'm not sure how Honduras feels about former Nationals. Unfortunately, there isn't a standard set of immigration laws from country to country. I do know that s...

Re: Was Higgins a US Citizen?
Higgins was a "LAWFUL PERMANANET RESIDENT" (LPR). Lawful Permanent residency is for those persons (foreign Nationals) who wish to remain citizens of their Nation(s), while lawfully residing and working in the United States. As taken from the Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA) Section 101, Para...

Re: A 2018 Reboot
Well, let us hope, that the production of the reboot, will be done with the same quality that the original was done in. I too have concerns as to whether the casting will include the chemistry of the original cast, that did seem to work so well together. I certainly would like to see numerous elemen...

Re: Magnum P.I. quotes you still use in everyday conversatio
Like most, I too use the saying "Hi guys". I think the show writers effected the entire English speaking world, with that phrase!
I also use several Higgins sayings. My wife, daughter, and granddaughter, know that I've had enough of a situation, when my "Higgins vernacular" appears.

Re: Magnum PI clothing advice
The Sperry Top Sider is the correct early wear shoe, for Magnum. Sperry still manufactures the shoe in the correct style and color. The color is listed as "A/O TAN", item number 0532002, SKU 8 8612 9188 337 (men's size 10 medium). I still wear them, no socks, with my last purchase at Macy's. I hope ...

Yes, I'm in agreement, Conch needs to be in a whole new series of promos for the re launch of Magnum on COZY.
Conch, any news for the rest of us on that subject?

Re: Magnum PI returning to CoziTV in 2018
I'm happy Cozy is returning Magnum to their line up. Even if its only one night a week, its better than nothing. Of course, when COZY ended their broadcast of Magnum, it prompted me to buy Magnum on bluray, with several other series as well. It worked out well for me last week, when I was sick with ...

Re: Favourite Higgins Moment?
My favorite Higgins moment, was at the very end of Computer Date, Season 2 Episode 14, with the credits roll. It happens just after Higgins has seen Lady Ashley, and met her "travelling companion". After a week of exercise, and depriving himself of life's finer things, Higgins take out a cigarette, ...

Re: Did Magnum ever eat sushi?
I live about 15 minutes from Panonu, just beyond the county line, inside Orange County, locally known as the "Orange Curtain". His comments on Little Saigon are quite accurate. My favorite eatery in Little Saigon is Brodard Chateau, which features excellent Vietnamese food. You can enjoy Vietnamese ...

Re: At what age did you introduce your kids to Magnum?
My children who were born in the early 80s, grew up watching Magnum. My employment frequently took me from home, and my daughters enjoyed staying up watching TV with me. Some of the more "difficult" subjects were topics of conversation afterwards, with the military scenes a reality in my household. ...

Re: John Hillerman passed away
It certainly was sad news to hear that John Hillerman has passed. I am in agreement with Conch's comments as to John Hillerman's performance as JQH. For me, the character of Higgins was an incredible dynamic that made the on screen chemistry of Magnum PI work. As I have opined before, Higgins was th...

Re: A New Reboot
As to the Magnum PI cast we all know, each has experience that in my mind aided their portrayal of their character. John Hillerman is a veteran, serving in the United States Air Force. No doubt, his military service aided his portrayal of SGM Jonathan Higgins. Tom Selleck is a veteran serving in the...

Re: A New Reboot
In the Hawaii Five-O reboot, one of my favorite characters has been PI Harry Brown. The character Harry Brown (William Forsythe), being a retired HPD officer, is one of those classic American PI characters, to include the voice overs. Harry's lines are especially effective, boiling down the most obs...
